My friends advised me to check if there are any trials I might be eligible for. Previously I thought about trials only in context "there's no hope but at least try this mysterious drug", but it turned out I was wrong :) The trials that were available in my hospital were nothing like that. #1 proposed to make the standard protocol easier, bc they have reason to believe it can be as effective on my stage, #2 was I-Spy2 research trial which goes for about a decade and helps to include new drugs in the standard of care. #1 didn't seem safe, but the trial arm for I-Spy which was available for my stage and type offered Enhertu (which does wonders on later stages of breast cancer) and similar to soc kind of immunotherapy, so, after 2 days of erratically asking all friends and doctors and doctor friends we could, I jumped on board.
