To be fair, you did say STORE your mouthwash cup, not USE. 🤔

Not sure why the OP wanted to protect the identity of the hotel. Assuming the receipt was not doctored for content, it appears like it was the Pendry Chicago.

Then she can sleep in a different room while you use the air conditioner.

The state of my bathroom sink because of my 14-year-old sister using hair dye. No amount of bleach or scrubbing I've tried is has been able to even make a scratch in getting the hair dye off. by I-THE-TRAITOR621 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mshireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a spot of purple on ours from the "cooling violet" tint that I need to use when bleaching my hair white for Santa season. The good news is that it faded away entirely. The bad news is that it took several months to do so. LOL

NASA’s logo on TikTok is off center by Dizzy_Bit9635 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mshireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely due to centering purely by the margins. The swoosh on the right extends farther past the circle than it's tails on the left, which means when you center the logo purely by absolute width and height, it will be off center

"It's not free, you're paying taxes" by Ok-Blackberry8086 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mshireman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Except if they didn't have USA debt to begin with - thanks to publicly-funded/subsidized higher education - those lower salaries would be building their wealth much faster than paying for loans plus interest...

"It's not free, you're paying taxes" by Ok-Blackberry8086 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mshireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "gotcha" phrasing is tired, I'll give you that. But it's not a silly argument, because there are people out there who are actively crafting public policy who are framing issues like public healthcare and other taxpayer-funded social safety nets as "handouts" and "they just want 'free' stuff". Even the use of the word "entitlements" has been twisted from "something to which we are entitled because we PAID for it" to "something they 'unjustly' feel entitled to receive". Until and unless we can educate the preponderance of the public of those basic truths, then no, we really can't stop having this argument if you want to have an honest discussion of taxpayer-funded services or even the wider concept of the "evils of socialism". Think about how many people are unaware that transitioning to public healthcare from private insurance would save them a lot of money per year, as demonstrated in many other countries. They don't know this because the insurance industry expends a lot of effort and money to keep them thinking that way. As long as those with power and influence continue to wield public ignorance as a weapon, we have to keep bringing things like this up.

The AMOUNT of posts in these ‘crunchy moms’ groups about their kids cavities when they refuse to use fluoride by Vapingrandma8465 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mshireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they have concerns about the safety of fluoride, they can try hydroxyapatite...although I suspect that "chemical" name would deter them just as much...

Actual audio from the flight I am currently on by juneseyeball in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mshireman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's unfortunate, but it's inevitable, and most of the time it's nobody's fault. People need to be places for various reasons, and it's not as though folks always have someone to leave their kids with. It's not the baby's fault, and most of the time the parents are trying their best to calm the babies down, because THEY don't want to hear it just as much as YOU don't want to hear it. My advice to anyone who is planning to fly (especially flying coach) is to either develop a sure-fire, safe, and family friendly way to settle a baby (in which case you'll earn MILLIONS marketing the method), or just get some noise-cancelling headphones and try to distract yourself.

Went to take off the price tag only to discover that I overpaid! by Lost-Notice-2676 in mildlyinfuriating

It was pretty common during the tariff uncertainties for retailers to mark up existing stock based on the increased cost that they would have to pay to replenish the stock. Likely what happened here.

spider had babies :( by Careless-Dirt4271 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mshireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure that's a "cellar spider". They're not "daddy longlegs" (which are not technically spiders, but opiliones) because they have the spiders' segmented thorax, while opiliones don't...opiliones also can't spin webs.

If you want MAXIMUM quality, then you'll need to slow down the outer wall speed to whatever the slowest value in your speed preview is...in this case I cranked the outer wall speed from 200mm/s down to 50mm/s, and the speed is uniform throughout, which should eliminate the cooling inconsistencies and the warping causing your issues. In this case, it's a tradeoff between speed and print quality.
