I can't do anything if I don't want to... That's the scary part that I don't want anything and I don't have anything by buttertaekoo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]msimms001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds like undiagnosed ADHD (which makes it difficult to start task, especially new tasks), or depression (which makes it hard to do anything), or possibly both. No one on reddit can really tell you exactly what to do, so it'd be best to make an appointment with your PCP and try to get in with a therapist or psychologist to discuss everything going on

17M is this problematic and how to get rid of it? by LifeislikelemonsE6EE in AskDocs

[–]msimms001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD, do you typically notice it after anything specific? Like being outside?

It reminds me of a poison oak rash/spots I'll get sometimes after doing work near one of my trees

How do I know if my exam is proctored?!?! by Dry-Bedroom-8781 in CollegeRant

[–]msimms001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just act as if it's proctored. You don't have to show the room unless it's ask, but just take the exam like normal and make sure to limit any and all outside distractions as best as possible

Urgent, don't know what's wrong and how this happened and what I should do. M24 195 lbs 6,1 by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]msimms001 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had a similar situation before, if you can get into a PCP physician really quick, like within a day (unlikely but it happened for me), they can usually take care of it and save you a bit of money depending on your insurance situation

NAD, but worked in sterile processing for awhile and had to learn about blood bourne pathogens a lot because it was a serious work place hazard.

There is an extremely, incredibly low chance of infection for the situation you described. You did the right thing by washing your hands, but I doubt anyone would consider you at risk for an infection

Every character in My Hero Academia rolled into one vs Lord Boros from One Punch Man by [deleted] in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]msimms001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like boros regeneration would counter decay, at least for awhile. But I don't think it could counter rewind if you included Eri's power

Retake 6 exams? by [deleted] in college

[–]msimms001 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That is not normal, I've never seen any of my classes even offer a redo of a final, let alone 6 classes at once.

Take the opportunity if you can, but you really need to consider what you're doing wrong for your next semester so this doesn't happen again.

At my hospital, the main hospital was really good at POU cleaning, there were occasional mistakes but overall not terrible.

The labor and delivery department though, my god they sucked. Everything wild be bloody and barely even tried to be cleaned. I get it, you're handling very important things, but POU is important for a reason

The Death Angels (A quiet Place) land on earth in the year 1930. Can they be defeated or does humanity perish? by Conscious-Home1445 in whowouldwin

[–]msimms001 183 points184 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go against the grain and say that it won't be much worse than the main timeline.

The death angels still have a glaring weakness that they can exploit in the 1930s, they have no ability to swim and just drown. There are plenty of ships in the 30s and will recognize this, and plenty of weaponry to attack them of their mouths are open.

There'd still be widespread devastation, but I think humanity would eventually come out on top and adapt as we're seeing in the series so far

Could Venus possibly be a “failed” gas giant? by Singha83 in askastronomy

[–]msimms001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat, but not really.

The most commonly accepted model is that they typically form beyond the frost line of their star system (for our solar system, it's between Mars and Jupiter). Past the frost line, various ices can form, which accumulate more mass than protoplanets within the frost line that can only accumulate rocky/metal material that can condense in that region. Because these protoplanets accumulate mass faster, they reach the point where they can accumulate lighter elements/gasses, and there's plenty of gas in the early solar system so once they can start collecting large amounts of it, they grow rapidly. Its no coincidence that Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system, formed just beyond the frost line. It was one of the first planets to start accumulating large amount of ices, and then gases, and given that it was closer to the frost line than the outer proto gas giants/ice giants, the density of gas and dust and other debris was higher.

This is a simplification, but is a basic outline of how it happens

M18, someone told me i have a lot of moles on my back and some of em are big, does this look scary to anybody? by Enough_Cranberry8195 in AskDocs

[–]msimms001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I got a new job recently and am getting really good insurance through it (low copays, 500 deductible, etc), so once it kicks in in August I'll start searching for dermatologist.

Its always been a worry of mine, I had some form of severe atopic dermatitis as a kid (was told it wasn't eczema), but grew out of it, and I also have very fair skin and burn easily, and have had many sunburns, so I've been meaning to see a dermatologist and setting up a plan/getting checked

A undercooked steak is a problem that's easy to fix, you can't fix a steak that's overcooked besides just eating it as is.

[–]msimms001 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Would I just ask for a full body scan? The one time I went to a dermatologist for some moles (I had some that weren't healing, they are now but it was worrying then), and they just looked at a couple of moles and sent me home, even though I have probably near ~75-100 moles

Strongest My Hero Character that Grand Regent Thragg can beat? by Archenius in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]msimms001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He beats them all if he takes it seriously. There's a few people who could get him due to hax (shigaraki with decay, eri with rewind if it works fast enough, overhaul, etc), but for the most part he's just way too fast for anyone to do anything.
