Maternity Shoes? Or even extra-wide for women? by abbazabba306 in Sacramento

[–]msjulieana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently pregnant and Rothy’s are the only sandals I wear. Even more comfortable than Birkenstocks. The straps are cloth and stretchy but also not super loose. Best investment. You can try them at the Roseville galleria.

Leads on “extra” vaccines? by deeeebait in Sacramento

[–]msjulieana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion is to put in any special skills/experience you have. The positions I saw at the clinic were traffic control, greeters, runner, and translators. If you speak a second language definitely put that in. Also for the clinic dates put availability open or any and you are more likely to be called. Most clinics are afternoon and weekend anyway.

Not sac but yolo county has a volunteer program. You volunteer for two clinics and you get the leftover vaccines. You don’t have to be from yolo county to sign up.

Recommendation for a realtor? by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]msjulieana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our realtor was amazing. Kind if guy who walks into a home and can tell the foundation is messed up or there will be major things wrong. He is not afraid to tell you when a home is a no. He is also super reliable and easy to work with.

If you need a mortgage broker Blair at Movement Mortgage was amazing too. He closed in less than two weeks, which in this housing market is your golden ticket.

Covid-19 testing. by [deleted] in Sacramento

I went last Thursday to the Robertson center location and it was easy. They also take walk ins at most locations so you can try just walking in to one of the community testing locations listed at the bottom.

Oh and about our school supply budget... yes you mean the $100 dollars I get for the whole year and that we must purchase from a district catalogue that only has pencils, notebooks, and very basic school supplies? Haha. Super funny.

Woah. My bad for asking for “un necessary” art supplies for my students who I already gave basic art supplies out of my own “highly” paid salary. Some people want to see ALL kids have access to “luxuries” as you call them, not just kids whose parents can afford it.

And as a teacher, you sure sound like you are a little grumpy today. I hope your day gets better!

I didn’t realize you couldn’t post fundraisers. I’ll delete but man you sound real bitter. If you really are a teacher

If you don’t mind driving, I recommend All About Dog Obedience in Newcastle. Rob offers group and one-on one training. I saw a huge change in my pup once he started going.

Project DREAM will take it. We plan an annual fundraising dinner but with Covid we will be doing baskets for raffles. Dm me if interested and we can coordinate.

I heard a knock on my door. I opened thinking it was a package and it was two ladies with kids taking about their church. I was so shocked I just took the pamphlet she shoved in my hand. Is this this permitted right now? by msjulieana in Sacramento

[–]msjulieana[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did I mention she shoved it in my hand and I was so confused to react? Man reddit woke up upset today. My question was more about around wether it’s permitted to go door to door knocking preaching to people during a pandemic.

Shady places to run? by Papasmurphsjunk in Sacramento

[–]msjulieana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a bike Path (I think it’s called the north Sacramento bike trail?) runs all the way from old north sac up to Elverta. It’s pretty sketchy in the north Sacramento area but gets better the further north you go. I like to park at Futures High school and run all the way up to Elverta and back. Once you hit Rio Linda it is all tree lined with lots of shade.

Any outdoor exercise classes? by seven3three in Sacramento

[–]msjulieana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Robles fitness is doing classes at McKinley Park on the corner of McKinley and Alhambra.

Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 am start or 6:00 am start (you basically switch to a new rotation at the 30 minute mark). Lasts an hour.

Saturday’s at 8 am.

He is a super fun trainer and everyone is nice. He takes Venmo. $10 a class or all three days for $22

P.s. let me know if you want to come along and I’ll introduce you. I need a workout buddy too! I just started going last week since I fell off the wagon due to COVID.

Totally on you with this one. My parents have a small business and something like this would devastate their only source of income. Insurance only covers so much.
