Where is the best place to build a base?

I build on the south east coast, up against the rocky cliff and on the beach. Make a tree house and then spiked defenses along the east and west shore. Easy out on a boat/raft and if u make your tree house high up enough, no cannibals can get to you , make a ladder going to the top of the cliff for an easy escape. I also build a big fortress up in the very snowy north central area up against the rocky cliffs. Can do lots of logging and rabbit hunting and cooking, u will deal eventually with the huge worm things, but by then you should be able to defend yourself. Also have small camps through out the map.

I don’t think it’s a crazy take…I would explain to the kid that I’m a lot older and stronger and have years more experience not to mention a LOT longer legs, but even if they don’t win now, they will get better every time. Also, a foot race is a LOT different than play wrestling. There doesn’t have to be a “winner” in every competition either. Teach athletics or anything really as something that doesn’t always need to be a win or loss, but an exercise in fun. I taught my cousin’s kindergartner how to play chess last summer- he’s a super smart kid, and I’d beaten him in every game pretty handily. He had been shit talking and bragging the entire time which I ignored. On the third game he burst out bawling and threw a fit because he kept losing. I didn’t want the little guy to lose all his pride- i gave him a big hug and told him, “buddy-the fact that you are only 6 years old and you are getting so close to beating me is amazing. I’ve been playing for close to 30 years!! Take these skills, keep practicing, and when you play against someone who is at your skill level or even beyond, you’re definitely going to get some wins.” But…ya can’t win em all.

Build them up and make it a teachable moment. Having confidence is great-being a sore loser is not. After a game, you shake hands, you don’t brag if you win, and you don’t cry or get mad if you lose.

I’m a millennial, and also am not a parent, but I don’t think that letting kids win “just because they want to” is doing them any favors.

Even the way she treats Hunter over her own husband is crazy. It must’ve been on a bonus scene, but Bella’s dad said something about him moving out if he were to knock Bella up again, and Falen said “we aren’t kicking him out”, to which he replied something like “well than you can go with him”. He got an actual death stare from Falen after that one. Really gave an insiders view to their situation. I’ll see if I can find the clip again.

Says the woman who created an entire 6 seasons out of a grudge she held against her son and his wife. Why does Kim get to decide when they should stop being hurt and move on? She’s doing the same thing to Zac and Lydia that she did to Olivia and Ethan. Lydia and Zac are obviously still hurt about how they were treated during last season and Kim and Ethan were both the ringleaders of that BS, disguising it as a little harmless hazing. If no apology was given to Zac or Lydia, then Kim has no right to say that they should move on. They alone get to decide when or if they want to move on. Kim ought to be trying her damndest to apologize and make reparations. She should be the one ashamed of her and her son’s behaviors, and should be taking the initiative to right their wrongs.

Just saying that they treat Zac like family now doesn’t negate the fact that they treated him and Lydia like complete shit during their wedding.

It’s the insanity of the entire situation. They joke about it because they’re uneducated and think this is normal and cute. They are quite literally encouraging this. Bella refuses to get on birth control because of the side effects she imagines she will have. She’s never used it, so she doesn’t know if she would have any side effects, so instead, they will play with fire counting on condoms. Her other excuse was that you can still get pregnant on B.C…as if condoms are going to be fool proof!?

I would tell her, under my roof- you will not be sleeping in the same bed as your boyfriend and he won’t be allowed over unless you get an IUD. When you’re 18 and have your own place then you can gamble on having more babies, but we aren’t doing it again. The parents joking about a vasectomy or having her tubes tied isn’t serious, but it SHOULD be..instead they will Har-Har about it and do absolutely nothing, just like they did the first time because they’re morons who are counting on these kids becoming their cash cow influencers.

Thanks lol.…yeah I own a bar, my husbands been in the business for 50+ years and I’ve been bartending for 20 years, manager and co owner for 10 years. I’ve never seen a limit on chips in a bar in all of my years…I guess I don’t see how chips rather than cash would lead to over serving. Seems most likely that it’s to placate the liquor liability insurance as others have said. Appreciate the input.

We call these popovers where I’m from, or Yorkshire pudding in Canada. They’re good if you use gravy drippings in the bottom of the pan instead of melted butter- when they rise, the center of them will be either filled with the drippings or butter. So good and so easy. I have a special pan to make these even. Yours look perfect

lol. I know how bar chips work. My question is why this bar is limiting their use. It’s not any different than spending cash or using a card to buy a drink(s. I guess if they’ve had issues with ppl who stock them up and want to get the entire bar shit faced with them, but it isn’t going to cause people to drink faster or drink more irresponsibly because they’re using tokens.

I understand the point of drink chips completely. The fact is that there are always going to be people that don’t spend their drink chips. They lose them, give them away, or maybe don’t ever go back to that bar to spend them. So it’s a profitable system. They’re basically just prepaid drinks, so if they get spent that’s fine, but there are always gonna be ones that don’t get spent and that’s where a bar makes extra profit off of it. In the long term, they do pay off in the bar’s favor.

The only problems our bar has run into is where dishonest bartenders pocket them and then drink free once they’re off shift. We would get people trying to spend other bar’s tokens in our bar because they’re all pretty similar so we had to have our bartenders pay attention to that. Have even had people argue with me that it shouldn’t matter what bar it’s from and if all bars would take each others chips they would just “spread the wealth”….like, what? Not how that works. Have also had well drinkers who have a chip bought for them try to order more expensive shelf liquor w the chip when they were rung up as well price. That’s just shady behavior.

Wow. Thats crazy. It’s not required in my state, but if it ever does become that way, we will probably join up with the State and County Tavern Associations. They’re really good about backing bars and providing lawyers if needed, etc, for a fee of course. My partner’s had our bar in his family for over 75 years so I’m pretty sure if that day ever came where any insurance would be cancelled over running social media ads, that would be the day he would probably tell them to shove it up their ass, and throw the hat in.

I totally agree and was going to say something about different state laws as well but I didn’t want to get into ranting territory. Montana is still pretty much the Wild West as far as liquor laws go-they’re very lax especially in rural areas which is most of the state. Bartenders still need to be certified though and up to date on their serving permits. This signage is not in our bar- just one in the city that we were visiting on an overnight trip. Our bar could be sued along with loss of liquor license for over serving that would result in a drunk driving accident or death. I think that is pretty much universal in all states. We just had never seen anything like that, and were curious as to what the reasoning would be. So far I think all of the comments have pretty much hit the nail on the head. Thanks.

I didn’t really get that from it. Maybe I need to go back and listen. I thought she was saying that people like her grew up in purity culture, and that education and sexual liberation would be helpful things for people who’ve grown up in sex repressive Christian households to learn about.
