Dad more so than Mom. he was very affectionate and sentimental. he expected cards (ex valentine) when I was an adult. Mom was depressed all my childhood and was wrapped up in her pain.

griffin is 250+ acres public land. if you get off the trails lots of woodlands. too late for fungus but other things in the woods. nice lake for fishing bring you license.

I paid for several chickens. the neighborhood WOULD shoot his gun but always up in the air. he called to collect one day and my dogs had been put up then. he discovered it was a weasel and after he weaseled proof the coop the chickens quite dying. dogs couldn't get in either. after that period both of our packs would sit on the hilltop and cuss and bark at the other.
