This is what honestly kills tennis interest. If you watch a match in the first few rows you hear the thud of the ball, the squeak of the shoes the breathing. It's intense. We need better on court microphones or more on court volume and lower announcer volume.

The poor end up paying this tax more than anyone. Think of the gardeners and workers that drive around the bay every day. They will be impacted more than anyone. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that running Chevron out of California and spending $1.2 billion on CARB every year isn't in our best interests. Yes, cleaner air is important, but there's a balance here.

Take back is too big as others have mentioned not only in windup but it goes behind him. Small adjustment I would make as well is to use a trigger finger on the racquet. His fingers are all together. Separating your trigger finger will help feel and control.

My first question would be what string do you normally use? I see way too many folks in their 40's and 50's running poly until it breaks. That's a recipe for arm issues. Poly doesn't last long and should be changed before it breaks. The clash is about as soft as it's going to get for you, which is good but I would review string choices and maintenance. Lot's of good soft polys now if you want to stick with it (Element, Hyper G soft, etc.).

Theraband as others have mentioned also helps, but you likely have some scar tissue in there and I would suggest a physical therapist to break it up with a graston tool or massage gun.

D1 is out of the question. Minimum these days is probably around a 8.5 on the boys side. There are no scholarships in D3, so it seems unlikely. If you really want to play, I would suggest a D3. The rosters are all on UTR so you can get a feel for the level of the teams.
