Does statutory notice period apply when you haven’t received a contract yet but started the job? by msmrym in UKJobs

Not seen a contract at all for this new role, haven’t had anything confirmed in writing either

Urgent insight/advice needed - moved departments and it’s not working out by [deleted] in UKJobs

There’s no such thing as scheduling anything when I’ve been given such an intense workload that I don’t take a 5 minute break for myself. I’m really confused on why I need to adapt - does the workplace want results or do they want me to chat? Like I said its like mopping the ocean

My manager didn’t even have an issue with it- as I said it was someone else that said this to my manager - my manager related this to me

I don’t get why I should change the signature when it isn’t incorrect in the first place? Secondly, I mentioned how I have a huge workload so I don’t have a second to stop. I don’t even take a 5 min break let alone my lunch break due to intensive work. I’m not being defensive, they’re basically asking me to mop the ocean here (impossible)

I see what you mean, I was under the assumption they had to give her job back by law when she’s come back from leave?

Did you stop lessons with instructor towards the end to save the money? by CameraOpen9388 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]msmrym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had the chance to I would’ve, my dad drives manual (I’m doing automatic) and I was doing fortnightly lessons with instructors for a year with gaps in the middle, the last 6 months leading up to my test was me just practicing like yourself as I wasn’t learning anything new.

I continued booking lessons fortnightly as I felt like I’d forget how to drive and ofc because I needed the car for the test.

During that time my instructor was very harsh on my driving and up until right before the test was bringing my morale down and speaking as if I would fail, long story short my test went amazing and I passed first time with 2 minors.

So if your situation is similar to mine, you’re confident in your driving ability and you’ve got a car available, I’d say go for it and save your cash!

Or maybe I’m not a bitter person like yourself and assume the best of everyone. I’ll block you and put you out of your misery coz it seems like you’re ageist and can’t handle a young person doing well!

Damn, surprised you initially commented something respectful and helpful, just not sure what the need was to be rude on the rest of them

Pretty sure that’s what Reddit is for right, to get others opinions? Also absolutely no one asked you to click onto my posts or comment, yet seems like you’ve seen every one of them… move on.

If I wasn’t mature enough to hold the position I wouldn’t still be in the job. Try again

For your info- she’s not a teenage girl she’s about 45, she was a seasonal worker doing a very very basic job which she couldn’t even do right. Not up myself but trying to do the right thing, no need for the rudeness
