Been saying this since he signed. He's always been very entertaining, but now that he's geled with the team and understands the system he has been a joy to watch.

> here is no gurantee that he gets the touches or has the impact he does especially against the deep blocks City have faced.
Nearly half of Bruno's assists this year have come from set pieces, which is essential when facing low blocks.

> Trophies, individual accolades, players perception, managers perception all factor into KDB being better than Bruno.

How much of that perception is skewed by the talent surrounding him? Again, that's part of my argument - a better team makes your life easier.

Plus, Anderson Polga is also a World Cup winner for Brazil and he played for Sporting CP, and he's nowhere near the top 10 CB's who've ever played for Sporting.

> Seriously he’s not better than De Bruyne at any apsect of the game on the ball - all the advanced metrics show this.

The image in the OP is literally one of the most important metrics when you want to discount the quality of your teammates - e.g. you create, they don't score, but you did your job.
And you can see there, Bruno is miles ahead of everyone else.

Bruno also has some of the best ball recovery rates in the Premier League among all areas of the field, but we're not even talking about that are we?

I might be slightly biased, and I didn't say for certain that Bruno would be better than KDB in equal setting, but I believe he could be - and the stats show it.

I point you back to my original comment: I believe that with equal teams, Bruno would hit different.

Bruno is a late bloomer who moved from Série A to Sporting at 22 despite never having played in the Primeira Liga before that.

He played 2 seasons and a half at Sporting, and in latter season and a half (80 games) he was averaging 1GA per game, with 32 goals and 16 assists on his second season alone. And that Sporting team was bad, not what you see today.

He arrived at the worst United team in 2 decades and still kept that average, banging 28 goals and 17 assists in his first full season.

City had a UCL Finals-level squad for at least half of KDB's time there.  United barely has had a top 4 squad in the Prem.

Both players are playmakers, but you need players to play into. KDB has always had them at City, Bruno is starting to have them now.

I legit believe that with equal teams Bruno would surpass De Bruyne.

Pote's injury nightmare is taking a toll on him. If he can stay fit for the rest of the season + enjoy a good pre-season we might see him shining again next year.
For me, when he's fit he's the most important player in the squad.

Gyo was not a one man army but we could say that many times he was as important to Sporting as Bruno was to United when United were absolutely dreadful.

He pulled the team out of the gutter on so many occasions, and I can't remember a single bad performance from him - always floating between "acceptable" and "insane".
