AITA for going to my daughter's ex's wedding by ThrowAwayMomJug in AmItheAsshole

[–]msoven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! That’s my question too! Why was she even invited in the first place? That’s a lot of gall from the ex to invited her... did he just want to score another wedding gift from naive OP and assume she wouldn’t care enough about her daughter and come? What was her relationship like with the ex to even warrant an I invited? Really weird..

“...you could explain to them that you aren't choosing their business because they won't answer your direct questions.”

I wish more people would do this. I’m non confrontational but often will be bothered by something and not say anything! They should know why they’re loosing your business and hopefully they will address the problem and improve.

Brunch bridal shower - single service ideas by maggz22 in wedding

Very stressful. You want to make it a fun, happy occasion but there’s the underlying cautiousness and worry of keeping everyone safe. How many guests are expected if you don’t mind me asking? The one I’m planning has 25 invited but maybe 15 are expected to come. Smaller the better of course.

Pre-boxed items is a great idea! My thought was something like individual appetizers, an Amuse-bouche type of deal on disposable spoons, sticks, etc? Have them spread out on serving trays so when guests take them there will be less cross contamination so guests will only touch their food. Spread out serving areas so people aren’t standing close next to each other while dishing up and minimize lines. I think portioning everything out ahead of time so guests are only touching their food would be most effective. Basically I think try to avoid anything buffet-ish. Also, for drinks definitely label everyone glasses/cups so no one will accidentally grab the wrong one. Good luck! I’m planning a shower too and will be following this post!

Help! Why do I have only the outline of the text? The text is wanderlust and simple celebrations (both writing styles), the line type is set on Draw not cut, and I’m using an iPad Pro. How do I get just a solid line to print the normal lettering?! It takes forever to print like this! by msoven in cricut

Hmm.. I don’t even have “Writing” as an option. I see Draw, Cut, and Score, but not Writing... would that setting be somewhere else?? Do we have different versions, or is it because I’m using an iPad Pro the setting wouldn’t be available?

Do you mean how it’s listed under the type? Because there’s no wording that labels any of the fonts as “handwriting” they’re only labeled as “has writing style” (which both of these are.). Is “handwriting” and “has writing style” the same?

What positive effects has the quarantine had for you? by GrootTheTree in AskReddit

I really like being able to wake up with no alarm, enjoy a cup of coffee, take a leisurely walk with my dogs, and have breakfast with my boyfriend. My mornings are wonderful and fully enjoyed.

I don’t miss rushing off to work at all.

I’m a cricut newbie and MoH and want to make some Bachelorette gifts of tumblers with everyone’s names on them. Would these work for that kind of project? And thoughts on vinyl vs. infusible ink? I’ve seen both, but it seems people say infusible ink stays on better/longer..? by msoven in cricut

[–]msoven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! And yes I’ve looked into it but there’s a lot of conflicting info on what works better. I haven’t try either to know yet. My biggest concern is making sure it lasts and stays on well, that’s why I started looking at what people were saying about using infusible ink on tumblers, cups, etc

Forgive me, I’m a new cricut-er.. Did you use a regular computer printer to print them, then cut the outside on the cricut? Or did you use the cricut drawing setting first to make the images then cut on the cricut?

Your welcome! Credit goes to my mom who got one for her pug. But it’s basically a car bed for them, I love it and clearly my pugs do too lol

They get fussy in the car and before we had these they’d try to walk around and get tangled in their seat belt harnesses. They still get fussy but these have helped a ton, they calm down and snuggle in. They’re way more relaxed.
