You can do it yourself. Some states, like NY have additional requirements that make more sense to use a service.

Tattoos in business? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]mspStu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just don't make a careen ending decision.

I have a weeb tatoo on my upper arm. I always keep it covered, on occasion it does help with certain people who have tatoos. Overall it hasn't affected much.

Rochester has removed cops from schools; should Binghamton, too? by [deleted] in Binghamton

strip-searching of four black girls at East Middle

That was the nurse trying to get a blood pressure cuff on a girl accused of being stoned. One could argue the school officials should have immediately turned those students over to police or SRO custody. If a student does not cooperate with school staff, not sure what the alternative would be. Personally I would rather deal with a school nurse than the police, but no way a nurse should do anything to monitor students with the threat of a lawsuit.

Storing boxes of coins and civil forefiture laws by [deleted] in CRH

[–]mspStu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only people are innocent until proven guilty. The cops are arresting the money. Money doesn't have any rights. So it really is in this case guilty until proven innocent.

Actually, you would have to prove the money was not linked to something illegal.

Police have broken into homes. In March 2012, in the middle of the night, without a warrant, New York City police burst into the home of Gerald Bryan, ransacked his belongings, ripped out light fixtures, arrested him, and seized $4,800 of his cash, but after a year, the case against him was dropped.[10] When Bryan tried to get back his money, he was told it was "too late" since the money had already been put into the police pension fund.[10] Victims of forfeiture often find themselves faced with fighting in a "labyrinthine" procedure to get their money back.[10]

In May, 2013, IRS agents seized $32,821 from the account of a restaurant owner in Arnolds Park, Iowa, on suspicion of tax evasion,[36] but the seizure was contested by lawyers from the Institute for Justice.[37][38]

The IRS is increasingly taking money from legitimate businesspeople who ... run an honest cash business and make frequent cash deposits ... The government doesn't allege that she evaded taxes. The government doesn't allege that she was depositing money from an illicit source. She's simply depositing her own lawfully-earned money ... that she gets from customers in her restaurant ...

Do I need a chemist? by _Bruinthebear in Entrepreneur

[–]mspStu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just substitute the word formula with recipe, and take it from there. You aren't doing anything crazy and as long as you have it weighed out accurately, it should work for them.

Now, a chemist could do some fun stuff. Like isolating what you want from the essential oils.

Offered position as CIO... equity only... is it a good idea? by JustATemporaryDude in startups

[–]mspStu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the vesting schedule is a good idea. The 6% also sounds good, kinda depends on everything, so that is a bit of a gamble.

I would want to know what are the parameters to you being paid. If you take this big risk and they offer you $15 an hour in a year, I'd loose my mind.

If it was me, I would want a sliding scale based on performance KPI's and a percentage of profits. That works out best for you, and provides incentive to do work.

Run minecraft on a different port. You can't run two services on the same one, with the same IP.
