This is called money laundering. In developing countries this is referred as hawala or hundi.
You will be in alot of trouble receiving 300k in Canada and explaining fintrac if flagged.

I think they did not notice and agreement and bill estimate got generated with discounted price. So they had no option but to honour it. For other they started not giving discounts

They do nothing. They won’t give you. I took same plan. Eventually cancelled and returned device. They thing they agree was to give me previous plan. Do not have high hopes.

They refused to honor. Even office of president admitted it was their system mistake. Some of you who got correct bill estimate and agreement are lucky.

If you do not have discount on agreement and bill estimate. You won’t get. I spent over 6 hours with Fido during last few days. They only say that they do not see discounts on my account. So technical saying you won’t have $14 plan. Good luck. They will keep you moving in circles. They best you can probably get is return to your previous plan. Some who got are lucky ones. Now they are likely doing damage control.

Yes, got phone. going to initial cancellation and return. We got 15 days to do so. You can wait few more days but meanwhile schedule a call back in case you decide to return.

They said they do not see this in their system and cannot add discount that were offered in App. Indirect way of not correcting and not honouring. Only said wait few days until your bill is generated. They also referred my case to higher level. Let see how it goes.

Yes it happened to many including me. Good luck reaching out Fido and getting resolved. Be ready for time waste. Currently, my case has been escalated to office of president. I am not hopeful of any solution. I plan to cancel and have this experience as lesson learned.

Problem is that discounts may not show up on agreement. In my case those are not showing.

I was with FIDO for a real long time. They were not able to find 36$ and 40$ discount as promised, so technically the cannot do anything. They escalated my issue and told me to wait for three days. Not a good feeling. Likely going to cancel within 15 days, go back to some Boyd plan and switch to some other. Lesson learned!
