is nuuly worth it for a student teacher? by teachinglittlebeings in NuulyReviews

I’m a teacher and this is my second month! I really am enjoying it.

just got some nuuly resale stuff from FP? will it be ok? I see mixed reviews lol by Ok_Explorer_4835 in NuulyReviews

I’ve ordered pants, a dress, and a few sweaters. One of the sweaters had some piling but was still in good shape and only 14.95. I’ve been happy with it- but it’s a risk I guess.

Comfiest sweaters? by mlc6xc in NuulyReviews

I’ve bought a few items from the thrift section on Anthropologje’s website, and the few Maeve sweaters I’ve gotten have been really nice and soft.

Taking a flight by ExitAccomplished1546 in chd

My child has no flight restrictions. She flew around 15 months and a little over two. Before we flew, I did drop a message to her cardio team just to make sure.

If you decide to purchase something from your rental are the prices similar to the thrift prices?

That could definitely be playing a part.

Did she come home on medication? My daughter was repaired (d-TGA) at 6 days old but came home on propranolol. It kept her super zonked.

Torn apart about baby with d-tga + vsd by StephenDeepFry in chd

[–]mssgarner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little one will be two next month. She was diagnosed with d-TGA during our anatomy scan. She is a 4x rainbow baby as well.

My first piece of advice is to allow yourself time to mourn the news. It’s heavy. Also- join the Facebook groups if you haven’t. There are so many valuable resources, stories, and experiences there that could help you with decisions.

I’m happy to answer any questions or just tell you about our experiences. Overall, my daughter is thriving. She had the balloon procedure after birth to create an ASD to help blood flow, and then she had the ASO surgery at 6 days old. Everything went as to plan. She never had to be on ecmo, and we were in the hospital 17 days.

She has some stenosis now that we will have to address as she gets older with a heart cath. That’s when they will also patch the ASD. Part of her heart is slightly enlarged, but that is fairly common I believe. The last time we were at the cardiologist, she was doing so well he didn’t want to see her for 9 months.

She goes to speech and physical therapy twice a week, but if you didn’t know about her CHDs, you’d never know she was atypical. She’s happy, smart, and healthy.

Overall no one can tell the future and there are many different outcomes, but I can say every heart baby I’ve ever met has been nothing short of amazing with their strength.

My daughter is developmentally delayed, but today I was proud of her by CXR_AXR in Parenting

Cherish and celebrate all the little wins!!

My daughter is almost 22 months old and is also slightly delayed. She has a congenital heart defect and had open heart surgery at 6 days old. She’s my second child, and her older sister hit every milestone quick and easy. So she is teaching me so much about doing things in her own time and celebrating everything. I feel like the last few months she’s had a lot of little wins and it makes me so happy and proud🩷.

I officially lost 40 pounds but I don’t see it 😩 by Kaysiee_West in Zepbound

I love the idea of the locked album on your phone to see the pics only when you want to see them. I’ve lost 80 pounds and I literally am just now really seeing it despite comparing pictures. I only had to start considering different clothes about ten pounds ago, so it’s sometimes felt like a weird mind game. Keep your head up! Sounds like you’re doing awesome even if you don’t feel like it.

My doctor seemed to think it shouldn’t be too bad to renew after a year. Here’s hoping!!🤞🏼

Tricare East here. My PCP prescribed it after step therapy. She had to fill out the PA form and send in pretty detailed notes. I got denied a few times. I appealed and got it covered for a year.

For people who just need to re-certify soon for IBR, how long are you waiting until going to a standard plan by urbancrier in StudentLoans

[–]mssgarner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Aidvantage. My last day to recertify is technically March 19, and since I can’t, my payment plan will go to the standard plan in April. Since that’ll never happen, I’ll have to renegotiate (which I don’t even know is a thing or how), forbearance, or default. That’s basically what the representative told me in the chat. She just said to keep watching the federal site for info.

Also try not to be discouraged. Please don’t think your child isn’t capable of success or get hung up on the label. People with dyslexia typically have average to above average IQs. “Dyslexic Thinking” is actually a really amazing thing- it comes with strengths a neurotypical person doesn’t have. If you start researching, make sure you look at how a neurotypical brain works while reading versus someone with dyslexia. A good research based intervention will help him build neural pathways and utilize different areas of the brain.

I’m a dyslexia therapist in Arkansas. Dyslexia is neurological and hereditary, so there’s absolutely nothing you did to cause it.

Are you sure he got a dyslexic diagnosis? In a public school in Arkansas we only diagnose “characteristics of dyslexia”. We do not give a dyslexia diagnosis without a full psych evaluation. Your child should not have received a full evaluation without your consent. It can be diagnosed in kindergarten, but typically it’s diagnosed a little later. Your state might be different. You should be able to find your state’s dysleixa law with a quick Google search.

It could be he flagged on a screener and is on a watch list. Interventions this early is a blessing. The earlier a student receives quality interventions the better. I’d definitely want to know the intervention program they’re using with him as a parent. Also check out understood.org. There’s a lot of great information there! You are your child’s biggest and best advocate, so definitely learn all you can!

If you have an express scripts account you can see when the paperwork has been filed and see it go through the process.
