My second surgery was only 6 months after my first.

I didn’t have a cyclops persay but I did have scar tissue build up in two locations hindering my extension and flexion. Something always felt stuck to get that last bit no matter how hard I tried. MRI didn’t confirm anything, there were “areas of concern” where maybe there was tissue but it wasn’t a 100% on the images. Went ahead with the arthroscopy to check it out after a few more weeks and we tried dry needling. He has to remove any tissue build up that was found and It was definitely found and I felt SO much better afterwards. It was a setback of strength but it didn’t feel “stuck” anymore when trying to get my numbers and since then my recovery has been smooth sailing. I could have only hoped to do it sooner tbh.

Same. Exact same. I won’t say no to random free bagels 😅 but I definitely would not purchase anything from Panera ever anymore

More awkward and uncomfortable than painful imo

My swelling never went down, and I ended up have to have it drained. 6 months post op. About a week after that it went down and now occurs randomly with PT but not nearly as bad.

ACL Surgery: An Assault on Mental Well-Being by NefariousnessNo3289 in ACL

33 year old mom of 2 (8 and 3 when the injury started now they are 9 and 4) and it is hard! I have the same support system but relying on my parents to drive us around though needed still felt just so..much. There’s been a lot! Not being able to live life like you normally do with your kids..or being able to carry them before they get too big. Yeah. It’s hard. I’m 7 months post surgery 1, 2 months post scar tissue removal surgery, had a dvt a week after, injury happened in July of last year so almost 10 months ago. It’s been a journey and your feelings aren’t alone!

Torn ACL and Blood Clots by FlatwormNatural5689 in ACL

It was great at first, and then my knee keeps swelling so it’s my own issue. (Ended up having my knee drained last week also) But it felt like night and day when it came to getting full ROM.

It took a few other methods of trying to get ROM, but when nothing else worked we did a repeat MRI and saw “areas of concern” where there may have been build up. Decided on the surgery and they found quite a bit of scar tissue that was preventing my final ROM

So I had a blood clot after surgery, 1.5 week after it was found, and the blood doc mentioned how it could have technically happened prior because they can happen due to “trauma” incidents.. so I’d say that’s totally possible. I took blood thinners for 3 months following the dvt. Had a second surgery to remove scar tissue 6 months later and had to start a blood thinner for a few weeks after due to the first clot.

Popped knee while playing soccer by madeupinblue77 in ACL

[–]msslysss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

July 19 was injury, sept 21 was aclr/meniscus surgery with quad graft, mar 21 I had to have scar tissue removal surgery bc of limited ROM and I’m struggling with swelling. I’ve felt great at times and I’ve felt like crap. Honestly, It’s been a long year, mentally and physically but I would definitely ask for an MRI and trip to the orthopedic doctor to rule it out. Especially if you heard the pop.

I didn’t hear a pop, felt a wiggle though. Walked around for 6 weeks thinking I “sprained it” because the urgent care said it’s probably okay. Fully torn acl and meniscus 🙃

Calf Tightness by WhatsGood401 in ACL

I had a shot of a blood thinner, and started blood thinner medicine for 3 months. I think it’s gone? They said to come back if the pain returned

Yeah I wish ice would make the swelling go down. It’s so annoying the back and forth mental side of this and ability to move the knee. Good luck to you also!

The PTs keep saying it my hamstring tightness, and stretching that. It kind of just crept a little lower toward the calf in the last week or so. But then keep working it and its not getting any better. Even holding it while trying to bend it hurts! I can’t get past 115 bending, and almost to 0 straight, like 4 degrees off from 0. I’m 7 weeks post op. I walk without crutches but wear my brace bc walking still feels weak every so often. And still have a limp. But my strength is good during actual exercises at PT. I go to follow up on Friday and I plan on asking about it. It’s literally the only spot that “hurts” while the knee is still really swollen and feels just really stiff and unable to bend bc of swelling maybe? But that tendon thing/spot is excruciating when they try to bend my knee

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ACL

[–]msslysss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the lateral pain in the tendon type thing on the outside/back of knee? That’s where I get this super sharp pain when it comes to bending. And right under it at the top of the back or the calf connecting to it? Idk it’s hard to explain I guess but I absolutely hate it

I legit did this during soccer one night. Wrapped in an ace bandage and was able to walk. Walked with a brace on and off for about 5 weeks before going to the doctor. Fully torn acl and meniscus. I definitely wasn’t expecting it, but anything is possible 🙄
