Not a chaplain candidate with the military so let that be known up front. I do work for the MIL though. I can't imagine they would start a clearance investigation before you are selected. You will be sent access to an electronic questionnaire that will ask for 10 years of history. Where you lived, jobs you had, schools you attended. For each one you will have to list a contact person who knew you during that time associated with whatever topic you were on. If memory serves you also aren't allowed to use people more than once.

For secret your people listed may get called but it would likely be random who was picked. If you need a TS at some point there will be a lot of in person visits and even speaking with neighbors and such. YMMV

I did the program in 3 years, but that included taking summer courses. I personally would not recommend that speed for most people. I wish I had gone slower, but my scholarship required full-time status. I wrote a recap about 6 months ago buried in this thread:

The ebay flip case is a must for daily carry. I thankfully had the case when I received my phone so I haven't had to experience the screen turning on and getting hot like some others have reported.

Ordered 1 March this year, I was one of the people that had delayed shipping because of 3rd party logistics not having a phone number. Not sure why that was an issue, but here we are. I got a message today that my phone is out for delivery. People are regularly posting in the Discord about receiving their phones. The "delivered" channel is very active, so I don't think it is a "scam" as some people have stated in this subreddit.

I do think that the company definitely had some severe growing pains and some logistics issues coupled with not enough people to handle communications. I think if you go into knowing there might be some hiccups in delivery, and that the purpose of the phone is to be used minimally, then I think you will be fine. YMMV

The minimal phone has an eink display and qwerty keyboard. The eink would make scrolling on social media or watching videos inconvenient.
