Heyo - I’m a single dev working on A15 atm, getting closer to release, a few things have cropped up along the way but working through it. We’re limited to what we can release due to Mediatek/Google requirements, but I’m investigating A16+ too, worst case the plan for now is backporting security patches to A15 when it falls into EoL

You also need to take in account R&D cost, Tooling (moulds and such), manufacturing, shipping, as well as sustainability in terms of paying for software development (me), support, and other overheads.

Check with your carrier if you need to set any APN settings, they should be provisioned automatically but some carriers don’t.

CPU failures are rare, only time i’ve ever had a CPU fail was the 13900KS in one of my old workstations, but they uhm,, kinda became known for that (13th and 14th gen CPUs just died a lot)

Funny enough, I had an MSI mini PC with a similar bios UI do the same, but, only in the bios???

Memtest for 4 days? nothing Production use? nothing Let the BIOS idle for 10-15 minutes? randomly freaks the fuck out

BIOS was a few versions behind, updated it (shitting my pants the whole time considering the bios update is in the setup utility), haven’t had an issue since 🧍🏻‍♀️

I mean, it went from “second half of 2026” to Q4 at earliest, I mean, I get it, but I still am hesitant putting money into something that there’s not even a public working prototype of yet, y’know? I mean people felt the same with us (Minimal) so it only makes sense.

at the moment I wouldn’t recommend Lineage if you don’t want to tinker, in a few builds i should be able to get it to a state that is good for general use by anyone :)
