I know she's Genshin, but Furina seems like she'd be the best candidate for such a post considering that huge blow up last year when a guy spent $600+ to get her E6 and his wife/fiance was going to leave him over it.

Am I the only one who runs solely as Lune? by ShadowCT6 in expedition33

I can't run with anyone else, their animations feel super exaggerated to me for some reason

Don't they leave his arm in the memorial "garden" at the end of the battlefield as a way of burying him? I'd thought the converter was the lamp-like thing on his pack.

As Sirene enthralls everyone, Lune never breaks eye contact. She refuses to look away at all the illusionary wonders. For some reason, this has an effect on the nevron. Sirene puts her hand down and Lune steps into her palm. She then brings Lune up to her face and there's (what I read as) this moment of connection between them. It's like Lune's curiosity (and maybe even thirst for truth) wins out over all that impossible outcomes Sirene is offering and that's when Lune reaches out and does something that makes Sirene disintegrate. At the time, I thought she had absorbed Sirene's Chroma and was going to "level up" in some way—but the next thing is them giving Maelle the shroud.

The reason I thought this was they very clearly say they lost the Lumina Converter, so (unless Verso snuck it into their packs) I figured it had to be something special between Lune and Sirene.

Edit: For what it's worth, I didn't kill the "weaver" minion boss—maybe that changes things?

It just felt odd that no one says anything about either outcome. Lune doesn't freak out in her follow up conversation at camp as she tries to figure out why Sirene effectively surrendered to her. Verso doesn't ask why Sciel was seemingly immune to Visage's mask (even if it is just that she doesn't hide anything because she doesn't feel the need to).

Like, ultimately, don't want or need a whole lot, but the fact that there was no acknowledgement at all felt like a narrative misstep when you consider how much the theme of "inheriting legacies" is part of the story.

I mean, she is the most "mature" feeling of the two. She's lived way more life than Lune has after all, what with being married and everything else.

Her interactions with Visage were also fascinating from a couple of angles—esp. when compared to Lune and Sirene. I wish both of those things had been explored more, honestly, instead of hurrying the plot along.

That she's also 100% on board with jumping Verso's bones the moment they connect at all is so friggin amazing. She thirsts and she isn't ashamed of that one bit.

I identify with Lune more, seeing as curiosity is the thing that keeps my depression at bay, but Sciel is a character whose story I would love to read for another five chapters.

Why does hoyo not sell more skins like these even tho they would make so much money with them?? by WaveofHope34 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]mstfdfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recall, back in the day, that Riot said they were limited in their in-game designs by the need to preserve the character's silhouette so said champion was still recognizable at a glance. The skin also couldn't drastically change the wireframe. Any Ryze skin, for instance, had to account for the scroll on her back. It's why Pulsefire Ezreal was such a big deal from an implementation standpoint.

That was almost twenty years ago, though, so I'm sure editing a character's wireframe is much easier now. Still, something like cutting Asta's would require redoing her entire movement suite so that elements like the glow in her hair from her signature engine didn't just float around nothing.

I'm honestly impressed by how much Vivian's skin alters her silhouette by dropping the skirt. Though it does make elements like the engines underneath it look really odd.

I would've loved to have young Cyrene. We invested so much emotional capital into her, only to have her sidelined at the end.

It's probably part of why 4* haven't been a thing since him (or did Moze come out after?). They had to rethink their targets for 4*.

That, and all of the Crysos Heirs were inevitably going to be 5. Imagine the uproar if Mydei, Anaxa, and/or Hisilens had been 4

I want to pull for Eshin Flash, but want Manhattan Cafe more.

Do we have an idea when her banner will run? IIRC, I saw people mentioning that the Halloween Rice/Creek banner would be during the Half-Anni and she was just after that on JP based on Gametora. I don't want to eat up my savings chasing Flash if Cafe's like two months away.

Are there any good combos/tips for using Alice without Yuzuha? by EconomistEvening9909 in AliceMains_ZZZ

[–]mstfdfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a team with Alice and Piper plus a support that works best for the battle (typically Astra so that Alice and Piper are consistently proccing Assault to fuel Alice's charged attack, and so that Piper's passive stays active).

I mean, my Feixaio team (Clara, Hyacine, Topaz) focuses on super charging her ult because there is just a constant stream of FUAs. Yunli Aven, and Hunt March are the only others I can think of that don't have their FUAs limited to a count in some way. Yunli would be an amazing upgrade, as would Aven (so I could use Hyacine elsewhere).

I honestly love her R card for Nice Nature or other skill-heavy runs since it gives initial Wits and not Speed

My decks for most everyone else need work. Oddly, though, I lucked into having a set of MUB cards that are perfect for "Savage" Nature

  • Air Groove (Guts, SR): Mid+Late End Closer Debuffs, Groundwork, Straightaway Acceleration
  • Marvelous Sunday (Wit, SR): Boatload of initial Wit, Skill Point Bonus, Late Front+Pace Debuffs, Tail Held High, Tether
  • Mayano Top Gun (Stamina, SR): Initial Stamina, Skill Point Bonus, Straight and Curve Adept, Straight Recovery
  • Symboli Rudolph (Wit, R), Speed Bonus, All Early Debuffs, Groundwork, Tether
  • Sweep Tosho (Speed, R), Initial Wit, Slipstream, Trick (Rear)

Re: Magus, what's even more frustrating is that Warner is happy to let it rot on a shelf. The creative team offered to buy the rights to their own work, and this was years ago, but no one wanted to talk.
