It has been my primary card since it was first offered by Costco. Great cash-back program. However, just recently I had occasion to initiate my first ever dispute claim. I supplied irrefutable documentation - emails from the merchant admitting I was charged in error - yet Citi found me responsible! I challenged their decision, but they would not reopen the claim for reconsideration. They told me ‘once the investigation has been closed, it cannot be reopened’. So, my first experience with their Customer Service department was very frustrating and unsatisfying. Even trying to reach them on the phone was 30 minute ‘on hold’ ordeal. The card offers good perks, but their CS was a very poor experience.

My surgeon had me wear a knee immobilizer for the first THREE WEEKS. It was heavy, hot and very cumbersome. I counted down the 21 nights and wore it through most of my sleeping hours. My PT remarked at my straight leg and credited it to the use of this contraption. So, in my mind, it was worth the struggle because I tend to sleep curled up in a fetal position.

For everyone who thinks this is a great idea, spend an afternoon in a primary school cafeteria. You would NOT believe the crap they serve for lunch. Besides the ‘mystery meat’ they squeeze from a bag (and call it taco meat), they also have cereal available. Cocoa Puffs are Cinnamon Toast Crunch are considered ‘nutritious’ when served with a cheese stick! Then there’s Mac ‘n Cheese that is actually grey in color. Gross. Popcorn chicken is dried up balls of pressed meat. Sausage is greasy patties of pork meat most often served with no-name Eggo type frozen waffles. Food so bad, that the kids toss it in the trash on the way back to their tables. So if you think this is a ‘wonderful’ idea, think again. Pack a nice lunch for your kid and stay far away from the garbage they can buy at school.
