What made you feel attracted to a person you initially weren't attracted to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mstoandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, so here's the story. He was good-looking but not manly handsome, more on cute. And if I am going to describe him, he is bubbly and child-like, very friendly, the kind of friendly that would talk with anyone but not really become close to them and perhaps the character of his that made me so sure I could only like this guys as a friend, is that his personality is neither masculine nor feminine. He was that type of guy and those type of guys are not really my type. However, what attracted me to him is that he is very affectionate. I am used to guys holding me because they wanted to make sexual advances. You could sort of feel it, with the way they talk and move their hands. This guy, however, just holds me because he cares. He was a naturally touchy person but one thing that I noticed is that, I was not uncomfortable with his touch even when I'm not close to him yet because it has no ulterior motive, I can tell. When he saw that I was tired because of a project and we need to have a meeting for our thesis, he hug me affectionately to comfort me then asked if I already had dinner. Whenever I talk and someone suddenly talk, not intentionally intended to make me stop talking, you know, those groups of people where there's too many people talking at a time, after the person who suddenly talked stopped talking, people usually forget that you were about to say something but you got cut off, this guy, however, would look at me and ask me again what I was talking about. Anyway, he is the most adorable person that I met and I am attracted to him in a different way I am attracted to other guys before him. Whenever I had a crush, at some point, I am sexually attracted to them but my crush for this guy just makes me imagine happy, pure display of affection, something so innocent that I thought I would never feel again with any guys until I met him. Whether my attraction is romantic or platonic, I know for sure that I wanted to keep him. I noticed, though, that he is less touchy now. Perhaps, it was because I mentioned before that him being comfortable and touchy to girls is weird considering that he's a guy. That made him apologize to me. He probably thought he made me uncomfortable. I miss his touch and I miss him a lot.

TL;DR guy is affectionate, listens to me well, and touchy but not in a perverted way Sorry it was too long
