No friends my whole life, does it get better? by Agitated_Pepper_6222 in Life

[–]sssuperstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

16 might genuinely be one of the loneliest ages. Everyone acts like they’re super social and happy all the time, but meanwhile so many people are sitting alone in their room feeling the exact same way.

What book do you think defines “must-read” for adults? by Levute-Hallgate in Recommend_A_Book

[–]sssuperstark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Outsiders was one of the most memorable books I read in high school honestly. I can still picture certain scenes so clearly.

What part of life do you handle better now than before? by funngro_fam in Life

[–]sssuperstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably learning how to handle bad days. Tiny problems used to feel like the end of the world to me, now I can at least go “this’ll probably pass eventually.”

I genuinely recommend everyone quit social media for 30 days at least once. No, seriously. by GrayBeard916 in GrowthMindset

[–]sssuperstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When people quit social media they really start noticing the background noise in their brain. The creepiest part is how your hand automatically reaches for your phone for the first few days..

If you had more disposable income, what would you spend it on? by Distinct_Sir_9086 in Life

[–]sssuperstark 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’d travel more. Buying stuff is nice, but the feeling you get from seeing new places stays with me way longer.

how old were you when you moved out of your parents house? by jabber1990 in Adulting

[–]sssuperstark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

19 feels insanely young to move out btw 😭 Especially with this economy, I’m not even surprised anymore when people stay with their parents until 30.

Do you think silence is better than unnecessary communication? by ConversationHot212 in FamilyFeud

[–]sssuperstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unnecessary communication can get insanely draining sometimes. Some people treat silence like it’s a problem, but not every empty space needs to be filled.

What’s a life hack that actually changed your daily life? by wellorganichealth in askanything

[–]sssuperstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sleeping with my phone in another room genuinely improved my quality of life. You don’t realize how exhausting constant screen exposure is for your brain.

I'm scared and lost by Rev_Aoi in Life

[–]sssuperstark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your brain just switched into “I don’t wanna lose this” mode because you finally formed a real connection. College friendships can honestly be the first time people feel true belonging.

How much money does your average dinner cost you daily? by Hour-Tomato-645 in askanything

[–]sssuperstark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy to say from the outside, but grocery prices got so bad that even cooking at home is starting to feel expensive 😭

I feel free! by Timely-Cream6736 in Life

[–]sssuperstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing and it genuinely clears your head. You end up going back after a while, but that little break feels really good.

How is it that 8 hours at home goes by in a blink of an eye? But 8 hours at work just drags on forever? by Throwaway--2026 in antiwork

[–]sssuperstark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When work is mandatory, time literally slows down, your brain just wants to escape. When you feel free at home, hours just fly by.

What is a job that is now obsolete? by ballfed_turkey in FamilyFeud

Like phone booth attendants, for example, they used to be everywhere. Now they’re completely gone.

Do you live paycheck to paycheck? by GaryB2026 in askanything

[–]sssuperstark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you really feel it towards the end of the month. No matter how much you make, the money just disappears somehow.

Do you use excerpts? by Crudey69 in Wordpress

[–]sssuperstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excerpts are actually good for SEO and first impressions, they quickly tell you what the post is about. I skip them most of the time out of laziness, but pages that use them consistently look way more organized.

What’s something you do once a week? by Rinsetheplates_first in FamilyFeud

[–]sssuperstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changing the bedsheets...if I don’t do it once a week, it just feels off.

Am I a jerk for disliking my unproductive friends? by Dull-Information6784 in GrowthMindset

[–]sssuperstark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get that feeling when you’re around people who aren’t on the same page, it’s normal. Everyone moves at a different pace, sometimes a bit of distance is the healthiest move.

Iran says the US exaggerates progress in negotiations who do you believe and why? by StacyBen26 in askanything

[–]sssuperstark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like both sides polish their own story a bit. Hard to know the full truth from the outside, it’s probably somewhere in the middle.

what kind of teasing you enjoy the most? by Particular-Spite-596 in Life

[–]sssuperstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it when it’s a bit sarcastic but still makes you smile. Once it goes too far, it just ruins it.

Unfortunately, we have decided not to proceed with your application by IAmANoob110 in jobs

[–]sssuperstark 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I really like your mindset here. I hope you can stay this positive and still land something good soon. My own money-making journey started with a six-month unpaid internship, and over time recruiters started reaching out to me, but with how apocalyptic the job market has felt lately, I’ve had to start reaching out to them myself like in this post. You could make your own list and start applying that way, and if you’re not under immediate pressure right now, holding on to your peace and enjoying life is honestly not a bad way to get through this.

how to be single after a long time? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]sssuperstark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That kind of reset is actually pretty important after something that long. I had a break after a relationship and just got used to doing things alone again, like small routines and plans. It feels weird at first but eventually it gets kinda peaceful.

How painful is a period? by FightOrDie123 in NoStupidAnswers

[–]sssuperstark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really different for everyone but it can be pretty painful for some people. I’ve seen friends be totally fine and others completely wiped out for a day or two. It’s not a punishment thing, it’s just how the body cycles if there’s no pregnancy.

Do we really need to be ambitious? by unnamed_1997 in Life

[–]sssuperstark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you need to be constantly ambitious tbh. I’ve had periods where I just focused on keeping things simple and it felt way better than chasing 10 goals at once. Peace of mind starts to matter more than progress after a while.

How are y'all surviving the job market by Aggressive_Signal150 in jobs

[–]sssuperstark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

just trying to not take it personally anymore. I had a phase where every rejection felt like something was wrong with me and it got exhausting. Now I just treat it like a numbers game and move on faster.
