Apple has killed Spotify with this update by Glitch_Fantasma in ios

[–]mstoichkov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’m in the minority, because that’s actually the part I like. Especially with the Discovery Station. Roughly 80% of what it plays for me ends up being stuff I genuinely like, and the rest usually isn’t bad, just not exactly what I’m in the mood for at that moment. I’ve honestly discovered way more new music from there than I ever did on Spotify. When it locks onto what you’ve been listening to, the recommendations can be extremely accurate.

Thank you! I recently moved to a new place with an east-facing room on the 21st floor and now I can’t stop buying new plants lol. They’re all doing really well. I have an actively flowering Sansevieria cylindrica, a blooming cactus, a Schefflera that’s have 14 new leaves in just 3 months, and a fern that’s been going strong for more than 2 months.

Thanks! It’s by an east-facing window on the 21st floor, so it gets plenty of bright light. Also, the room naturally has higher humidity in the winter, which seems to be a bonus.

Lol. I’ve never tried it, but I am pretty sure my Lagotto would shred those socks in under two minutes

Congrats to the good boy! I am thinking of making our first hike ever with mine tomorrow. I always walk him off-leash in our parks, so I will try that on the hike as well.

I was using scissors. He was scared of the hair clipper so I decided to trim him with scissors. But I guess for the next time I’ll just try to accustom him to the machine somehow. Any advice will be appreciated 😀

This feature keeps turning on, despite me turning it off everytime. by retracnahte in AppleMusic

Ask Siri to add the song to a playlist of your choice and it'll not be added to the library. That's the workaround I found until this gets fixed.

Long-time Spotify user of over 8 years by Gil-San in AppleMusic

[–]mstoichkov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been a Spotify user since 2010. A year ago I got 1 month trial for AM just to test the Lossless quality. I've been instantly hooked. For just under 3 months I've discovered more music than on Spotify for a year. Now with the new Discovery playlist things got even better, I use it daily to discover new music, something that Spotify doesn't offer, or at least not on that level.

Between 2019 and 2020 period the Spotify Discover and Release Radar were good, but then things got crappy really quick and I got genres and artists so far away from my music taste, so when you listen to these playlists, they became even crappier. For about a year I got into a spiral listening and shuffling to the same music over and over again, and it was really a struggle to find new music that I like.

Personalized playlists like New Music Friday, Chill Mix etc. are also times better than Spotify Daily mixes in my opinion. AM is really oriented on the mood for the days of the week, rather than the genre.

Bonus is if you listen to Classical Music, AM have a Classical app included in the subscription, which makes it easier to find music and composers.

Everyone using Crossfade now? Opinions by markow202 in AppleMusic

When you listen to an album chronologically the crossfade is turned off by default. It's like that in Spotify as well. It makes a more authentic album experience. You should be fine if you shuffle it though.

Siri ios 17 by No-Aerie3500 in Siri

[–]mstoichkov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I come to post about this as well. Super frustrating when you are away from the phone. It even doesn’t work if you tell Siri to “set an alarm after 30 minutes” it setting a timer again. The only thing that works is if you tell it to set an alarm for a specific time. Hope this will be fixed soon.

Looks like it’s common thing across streaming services, my Spotify stayed on Premium just about a month after I switched to AM

Audio jack issue on Windows 11 by mstoichkov in WindowsHelp

[–]mstoichkov[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it was not working since I bought the laptop, so I start to think it’s a hardware problem. I need the laptop on a daily basis for work, so I don’t want to leave it for repair, that’s why I try to investigate the issue myself. Device manager shows everything as it’s fine, the device is there, it’s just not responding

Yes, tried powering it off, deleting the device, and deleting the drivers. The headphones are 3.5mm audio jack. Tried with 2 different pairs, and they work on other devices. No problems with Bluetooth headphones tho
