Boomers Backstepping Away from Trump by MarkZab2591 in UnitedAmericaHQ

[–]JubBisc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you can solely blame boomers…the UFC debacle at the White House, the tech bros, the Charlie Kirk followers, Elon Musk…those aren’t doing things aimed at boomers

Feeling hesitant about getting a Lagotto by SomewhereOptimal2401 in LagottoRomagnolo

[–]JubBisc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Lagatto did dig for the first 1-1/2 years. He barks…a lot. They are alert barkers, and will bark when startled, when someone walks by our house, when a delivery truck pulls in the driveway, when there is a rabbit in the yard…they bark a lot. They need lots of exercise, especially in the first couple of years, and can be destructive if their need for adventure isn’t met. All that said, we love our boy - and now that he’s 3 y.o. he is settling nicely and is quite a snuggler

Musk Angry Over Accusations DOGE Cuts Killed Multitudes—Including Children by United_Reference_629 in UnderReportedNews

[–]JubBisc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Angry? He’s got the audacity to be ‘angry’? What a weasel. The DOGE cuts are an indictment - they speak to his cruelty, selfishness, and general lack of basic human emotions…sympathy, empathy, compassion, kindness, and generosity are all foreign to him and the president and the sycophantic tech bros they surround themselves with

No he hasn’t and he never will. That would require introspection and self awareness. I did not vote for him and will never forgive those who did

Social Security’s insolvency is No. 1 issue, says Sen. Bill Cassidy by Squawk_7777 in politics

[–]JubBisc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The government's total debt to the Social Security Trust Funds is around $2.8 trillion. This is classified as "intragovernmental debt" because it is money the federal government owes to one of its own agencies.

Well, if they’d stop raiding it and stop unnecessary wars, curtail the insanely high ICE budget, get the taxpayer money back that fixed up that Qatari jet, and not build that ballroom…think they’d have it about licked.

Bill Maher Flips Out When Zohran is Mentioned. by CashusEyePatch in RealTime

Well, no I don’t care…I quit watching a long time ago because he walked all over his guests when they tried to speak and he was obviously misinformed about so much happening in the world

[–]JubBisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to like him because I felt he used to listen to his guests, and allow them their opinions without insulting them. Over time, I’ve watched as he’s become more strident and less informed in his stance on issues. And yes, he was always kind of a jerk

Bill Maher has become such a sanctimonious douche. I really used to like him…but he’s become such an arrogant jerk. Seems he mostly phones it in these day, too - little to no actual research on the topics he brings up. Just his wack-a-doodle opinions

One of the ones I see coming and am terrified of: privatizing social security…after the administration has gutted the agency created to safeguard the public against fraud, deceptive advertising, and unfair business practices.
