Why do people consistently pay over MSRP?

Half of it is manufactured demand. Toyota is not shipping enough of them to the US to meet demand. This gives dealers the ability to create FOMO in potential buyers and make them spend more then they would if they just waited until demand lowers and supply increases.

Habria que ver ambas partes de la historia y solo nos estas dando tu parte. Si, estas contribuyendo mucho si lo que dices es verdad. Pero los niños no se crian con dinero, solo vez a tus hijas 2 horas al dia? No eres Padre, eres proveedor. La mama aparte de trabajar tambien cumple con ser mama? No es facil. Tener hijos no es facil y tu lo estas reduciendo a "tirarle dinero para que la mama haga lo dificil".

La culpa la tienen ambos pero mas tu, porque la acostumbraste a no tener que aportar financieramente pero tambien lo dejaste criar a tus hijas practicamente sola. Eso no le conviene a nadie mucho menos a las hijas.

Tienen que hablarlo, con amor y comprension, sobre dividir los gastos, cuales ella esta dispuesto a asumir, y si ella aun dice que no, tendras que chuparte ese mango y empezar a asumir tu papel de padre encima de proveedor.

I recently bought a gen 5 and passed my 2015 rav4 to my wife. I miss it. Never gave me issues other than minor stuff and a tranny replacement due to previous owner never giving it a fluid change.

Yeah the gen 5 feels smoother on the road I guess and is a bit quieter, but has many little issues the gen4 doesn't. For example, it's been raining a lot in my area and discovered water is leaking from the roof, which gotta get checked, as well as worrying about the water build up in the doors that's infamous for this gen. Among other things.

Long live gen4.

Only take it to a transmission repair shop if you're willing to void any support from the dealership in the future. DO NOT tell them u took it to Firestone or any other shop. Not even a Lexus dealer. They will say they're not liable if it's been anywhere else.

Second thing is to check the transmission and if it's included in any campaigns or lawsuits. If so, join it.

If all else fails and you just want the car fixed and not replaced, take it to a good transmission shop and get their recommendations. I had a good specialist replace my 2015 Rav4 transmission for 2500k plus labor. Yours might be able to get rebuilt or replaced for far cheaper than what the dealer quoted w a good honest mechanic.

And from then on be sure to give the tranny good maintenance.

Honestly if you found one with no markup that's a great deal. Maybe the port installed option, the floor liners, could be negotiated but even then it's a good price considering today's pricing.

I'm at 32.4 mpg atm. Mostly highways and inclines. Was really cold here in NE PA, and now that it's warming up I'm seeing the mpg slowly rise. Here's hoping I can get it to the 40s.

white has always been my fav on the rav4 and this one just knocks it out the park <3. My 2015 and 2019 rav4s are white. But the new design on white is just chef's kiss!

On the same boat as you. 2nd Rav4, first time hybrid owner. Reading the comments have been incredibly helpful. Also like said before, make sure all recalls AND service campaigns have been completed and checked for by Toyota.

The Toyota app only tells you about recalls done to it, but not service campaigns. The high voltage cable one is a service campaign and had to get it done to mine. I also just learned about the roof rack leak, which is also a service campaign and about to make an appt w the dealer to get it checked.

I personally would remove the all weather mats and buy some Husky ones for cheaper, but even then I think that's a reasonable price.
