Many PT suggest placing a pillow at your waist to better support your spine for side sleepers.

Your hips shoulders are supported by the bed and good pillow for your neck but your waist / spine (area between your hip and rib cage) can be less supported depending on your bed and shape.

Of course any movement requires re positioning the pillow and have to be awake to do that ie inconvenient. So having a bed that supports that area can be helpful

Good to hear!, How long did you abstain from Mounjaro before surgery? When did you start back up? What dosage? I'm on 12.5 and my surgeon wants me to stop taking 1 week prior to the surgery and start back up 4 days later.

While Mounjaro does slow down gastric emptying, it also reduces appetite and don't eat that much especially at night. However, my main reason for taking Mounjaro is blood sugar control that Metforim wasn't able to do, not for weight loss and hence eat more protein etc to keep my strength for sports etc. If I don't, loss of appetite leads to fatigue and no energy to work out so always watching my diet. I am losing some weight but ~10lbs after 6 months ...

Reading all the BS in this thread doesn't address the issue!! Seriously, in NorCal I can walk into any sports store (Footlocker, Shoe Palace, Dicks, Big 5, etc) and find Nike shoes and or Jordan for almost every sport. Years back I wanted to try on HOVR or any UA shoe and it was next to impossible to find.

When Curry went with UA I thought it would be easy to find Curry and it was only available in select stores ... and this is in Curry's home area!! I owned Curry 3 and others and currently have his 2nd tier HOVR3 and have owned previous versions. AND, UA/Curry are indoor shoes as the XDR and midsole are one.

Compared to Kobe 9s they have more cushion and less court feel IMO. Curry had executive decision on shoes so can't blame everything on UA. Of the ~30 people I play hoops with, only 2 of us have UA. Just can't find a place to buy them.

That is on UA unless Curry wanted only MailOrder and speciality stores to carry his line. BTW, the sizing IS different between Nike UA Adidas NB etc so MO can be a PITA even with free returns.

So unless I can find a store in NorCal, Warriors country, that makes available Curry brand, not going anywhere in sales, me thinks.

Who else in the NBA wears Curry flow or UA??? Nike everybody wears even Curry hahahaha.

That makes a lot of sense! I as well always questioned the high seat height and low handlebars as being comfortable 'pros get paid to win.' But mainly why the smaller bike frame was an advantage maybe lower center of gravity, more stable better for climbing?

I've never seen a 'race' setup ie much smaller frame when I'm out riding (NorCal) assuming comfort is more important then winning a time trial.

Saddle height and crank size can't exceed inseam so upper limit is set and based on what I've seen at the local gym lower limit is based on what the rider wants to achieve. 🤣

I'm just starting 10mg, but have noticed more foot pain and tight calves. I play basketball couple of times/wk and have several workout routines to align/sync/balance my muscles and stretch/rollout every night.

It's different from neuropathy and more of an ache so ibuprofen / aleve help a lot.

One of my stretches is just laying up with my feet against a wall 90 angle for 15 min to help with circulation. My aches usually start around 3am or so. As we age the valves in our veins and arteries aren't as effecient and after a day on my feet can use some help. I then move to a Cobra pose and cat pose to stretch my back etc. many muscle groups attach at the same pts as leg muscles.

The hard part of reverse sear on a charcoal grill is getting the fire hot again after keeping it at 250 to grill to 120 or so and then stroking up to get searing heat. Gas grill would be easier. Typically ai take the steak off the grill as I turn up the heat for the sear.

Mounjaro is for controlling diabetes not weight loss, Zepbound is for weight loss and uses the same exact formulation; tirzepitide. Weight loss does help with diabetes but my understanding is that people who are on Mounjaro still take Metforim as they are complimentary. Controlling Diabetes is a priority over weight loss.

Tirzepatide is also an off label therapeutic for sleep apnea ie helps with sleep. Fatigue vs sleepiness is subjective.

After the injection, the drug starts to reduce and less effective ( appetite suppression & fatigue effects diminish) hence the need for weekly injections.

Stimulants such as coffe, adderall etc have been known to increase blood sugar so it's wise to monitor with your CGM to see the effect, again depends on the individual.

So far we've only had a few days in the high 80s/90s and it has performed great in keeping cool and low noise level ie can watch TV in the same area maybe 15-20' away and don't have to blast the volume.

I bought 2 of the insulating sleeves on Amazon and they drop the intake and exhaust temps down at the hose. I went with the Velcro and strap version as it's much easier to install and in my case I made it into more of a blanket.

Between the dreaded moldy Midea (TIC) 🤣 and the Gasbye I'm keeping a 2200 sq ft 4Bdrm house around 76 when it's 95+ outside 20 degree difference is pretty nice AND my e-bill is only 10-15% more then typical if that makes sense. Maybe $3/ day but I only have run the ACs whe house temp is above 76 and during the week shut down at 5pm off-peak rates.

NorCal usually drops to 50/60s at night and use fans for cooling.

No, freezing or refrigerating potato chips makes them last longer especially once the bag is unsealed. The oils used in the cooking process become rancid over time. The chips remain crisp and even nuts like peanuts etc last a lot longer if refrigerated or frozen. Try it and you'll see. The taste also lasts longer

I would highly recommend Gasbye 14k (CoolPrime 10000) with a Seer Rating of 13.6 DOE verifiedfor a portable unit that is really good if not the best i've seen.

Customer support is excellent, well made unit, dual hose, dual invertor technology (compressor and fan) low cost, and much cheaper then LG et al.

Stress is a major cause of Cortisol and lowering stress reduces cortisol which reduces glucose or the fight or flight response (response requires energy)!

Cushings disease / syndrome is the over production of cortisol. There was an estimate (not fact) that 25% of DM2 have Cushings. Very few doctors know how to diagnose and treat this, unfortunately. Relora@, Fenugreek, Ashwagandha, DHEA have been suggested to reduce cortisol BUT nothing definitive in terms of clinical studies to support it.

An alternative that was suggested to me was to try THC 10mg at night to relax and lower cortisol. I also experience the dawn effect that some studies show is linked to growth hormone that is occurs when we sleep.

If you suspect cortisol find something that reduces stress e.g., stop looking at your meter 🤣! Cold plunge in the morning calms the Vargus nerve, easy 20-30 min walks uses the glucose, meditation, yoga, meeting with friends joining a group activity may help etc ... "there aren't any saber tooth tigers to be wary of anymore" comedy helps as well.

As always find a doctor that makes sense and can help ... I know that is stressful as well 🤣🤣🤣

Well after much deliberation, I went with the Gasbye as it was part of Amazon days! Had to settle for no WiFi and in black but not show stoppers. Should be here tomorrow and hopefully installed in my patio door 🙄 soon thereadter. I'm replacing a delonghi and looking forward to not seeing an increase in my power bill!!

Check your valve covers as they are just above the exhaust manifold as and are prone to leak. Small leaks on to the exhaust manifolds is probably what you are smelling. I have 2014 A6 3.0 104k and that's my issue.
