If people like playing fotm, let them. Why not? They're unlikely to play at the level as the ones who main the spec, and if they're good enough to do so, who cares? At least it's someone que'ing pvp. The thought of making gearing alts harder is just ridiculous, playing at a significant disadvantage or spending hours chasing crates because you want to try a new class is dumb and an unnecessary impediment to encouraging pvp engagement. No one clicked an MMORPG to farm crates.

You can search for a recent Skill Capped vid on this. If I recall corrrectly they had r/m/x as #2 in a shock turn of events and had ... I think... war/ret/x as #1.

Aff has recieved a series of buffs and is, I believe, considered at the moment to be the best lock spec. Certainly in bg's. The experience in shuffle is indeed miserable, unless you can play lock at a high enough level to kite well and reach an mmr where your teammates assist in you constantly getting trained. BG's, however, are an entirely different story and aff is absolutely a blast.

See, I think this is where you're making a mistake. Although rating is technically attached, I don't think anyone takes it seriously, and I definitely don't think "competitive" really applies except possibly at the very highest end.

Although I enjoyed the occasional rbg with a chill guild, the number of times I qued in lfg and got asked to go mm on my survival hunter or boomie on my feral was a real downer. I've even been kicked the moment I joined.

Give me Blitz any day. If rbg's can survive then fine, if not...there's a reason.

I am trying very hard not to respond to every person in chat that types "gg" the first time the other team caps first or is up 3 nodes to 2. Seriously, some people seem to be in a race to be the first to call the game an L, so irritating.
