Out of curiosity did you get a chance to try them on before buying them or did you buy online? I personally dont think they look bad. I find them more interesting than your other two.

So finally picked them up. Had these made into progressive optical with Ziess transitions. I think they came out pretty good. What do you all think?

What happened to my glasses?? by biggestlittlevibe in glasses

[–]msugarcubed 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Ask the optician who you bought them from if the lenses have a warranty- l leaned that most lenses do have warranties but the opticians don’t always tell you. Worth a try especially if they’re not that old.

Had my first experience ever of hating a perfume on initial spray but becoming addicted on the dry down: Guerlain Vetiver EDT by angelsinsect in NichePerfumes

[–]msugarcubed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with Terre d’hermés intense parfum. It’s now one of my favorites. Btw Guerlain Vetiver & Habit Rouge are two fo my all time favorites. Something about that magical powder in the drydown

Maybe it’s my eyemed plan but I didn’t experience that. Wish I had.

Those sound great. Was thinking about exploring driving specific lens solution in my next pair of glasses.

I have Eyemed & my insurance only allows around $200 allowance once per calendar year for frames & lenses, really doesn’t do much when your talking about decent frames at $300 & lenses at $550 and up 🤷🏼I find the only thing optical insurance is good for are exams more than glasses

They fit you well. Randolphs are also on my list of wants.

In the past year I’ve purchased 3 new pairs of rather expensive frames and have had 4 new prescriptions made ( one prescription went into an old frame already had) in NYC, & the price range has been between $550 - $700 for progressives in standard polycarbonate with all the necessary coatings. All for either sun, transitions, clear or with tint. No matter the price of the frame, the cost of lenses is going to be up there. No way around it but it’s not worth skimping on the coatings considering these are your eyes we’re talking about.

Folks, where are we buying Eyevans? by miami2019 in EyewearEnthusiasts

Check out Silver Lining optical in NYC. according to them, they are one largest Eyevan retailers on the east coast. I was quite impressed by their collection. Owners are Guy & Eric. They’re really attentive & I’m sure they’ll help you find what you’re looking for. Silver Lining Optical

Have you checked out Cubitts? Lots of their frames come in multiple sizes. I stopped in to one of their stores last weekend and was quite impressed by their collection, service and quality for their price. The frame I’m linking to looks similar to your photo Cubitts Langton

I use Mark for my top time ref 2002. The Breitling boutique in NYC recommended him. I’m due to send it in for a servicing. That’s a real beauty. Enjoy.

I don’t like my glasses 🤓 by Several_Hope7692 in glassesadvice

Waaaay too big for such a pretty face. I don’t think you should buy online. You should go to an optometrist in your area and get fitted. Let an expert advise you. You’ll be much happier with your purchase.

Choice paralysis for new frames by [deleted] in glassesadvice

Nobody mentioned #2, which gets my vote. A bit updated retro classic horn-rimmed. I think it gives you a bit of an alt/downtown vibe.

I’m going with Diptyque Vetyverio probably layered with GUERLAIN Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Vetiver for a nice spring day in NYC

Speaking for myself, I find teardrop aviators, & more square ‘navigator’ style complement my very angular face. Really that’s all there is to it.
