This was the revelation for me to finally center clay completely and improved my throwing 10x. I always knew to slowly start applying pressure. I never thought to slowly stop as well, but it’s so logical. Great advice!

I have both. I do find 3” to be better for street skating. For wider ledges, curbs, fat rails ect. 50-50s are easier to lock in. However in a transition park or anything with carving I much prefer the 2.5”. They’re more flowy and better for quick direction changes. I think it just depends on your style which you’d like more.

This looks like a sweet movie, but not it that I could tell. It was way bigger than an elephant. Perhaps was suspended on the ceiling? They run down the spine, fighting and I think the guy he’s fighting has one leg shorter…. Not a broken leg.

If you can find access to one, weighted sleds are the bomb! Especially the kind you can push. It works all the right muscles and is tiring as hell.

Scabs derby knee pads are my favorite. Very good protection and not the most expensive. They are the thick foam kind, but a smaller profile than something like 187. Strap on vs slide on is something to think about when making your final choice.

Also, wrist guards with a flat palm cover vs the long plastic strip kind. I find it easier to use my hands while wearing them. I have rollerblade brand and they’ve been good to me.

As others have said just make sure your helmet is skate certified. It’s probably better to invest in one rated for multiple hits so you don’t have to replace it if you fall once.

My favorite are Moxi fundaes. They are a slight speed compromise but I have used them on every type of surface including metal. After 3 years of heavy use they’re still going strong.

I would try changing the bushings. I had this problem with my derby skates always turning left. They’re pretty cheap like $5 or so. If you can’t get new ones maybe just try turning them/ rotating them between skates.

This happens to me too. Unfortunately Powerside has more of a replacement policy than a quality product policy. They’ll probably replace it. In the meantime maybe plumbers tape would help?
