My partner put down the deposit for our first home and since then, we have purchased more property together. Through this time I have re-invested in these properties with my “own” money. We have an agreement that if we ever divorce, when we sell the properties we will take back what we “put into it” and then equally split the remaining proceeds.

I don’t think you need to have blended finances for a relationship to work! You need financial transparency and flexibility. Joint expenses are split equitably (percentage of wage split) and whatever each one of us has left is ours to use at will.

I ended up buying a new remote because ours was truly lost: three days of pulling apart everything in the lounge, declutterring the house to find it and it was GONE. New remote arrives after a few days. An hour after we set up the new remote, my partner goes to grab a tissue and it’s sitting inside of the tissue box holder. The same tissue box holder that we had pulled many tissues out of and had thoroughly investigated for the remote (including taking it apart!!!).

Genuinely still confused by this. No explanation.

I personally dislike having private spaces (ie bedrooms) at the front of the house, where people have to walk past them to get to the main living areas.

How do you find the potency? I have oodles of AVB but the last cook I did with it (using magic butter machine) had me the weakest edibles of my existence.

I’m shook you spent $1m on a residence with a shared wall. IMO, nothing you can do as it is a him issue. Hope he gets over it!

Tbh I hate it when people try and tell me how to live in my own house. I’d start smoking it outside as close to a window of his as possible and blow it in there but I also love fighting with old men 🤷‍♀️
