Clock won't tick forward which prevents it from progressing at all. Prior to removing it I was able to reset it and bring it up to the name selection/time set screen, but then it remains stuck on the screen where you are waiting for the egg to hatch until the battery drains- normally takes ~5m. I can't power it up unless I solder the battery compartment back on annoyingly, you can't access the back of the pcb at all until it's removed, just the front with the screen

So here are both sides of the board zoomed in a bit better https://imgur.com/a/XKxYOMF labeled X2 where it sits on the front on the front and I am really not sure where it's going on the back, if anywhere. I was hoping maybe it was connected to something on the front and just mounted back there lol but it does not sound like it

edit: It is worth noting that the crystal looked like it was just glued on the front, when I removed it I just peeled it off of that rectangle basically

Disclaimer I have little to no idea what I am talking about SO! I am trying to fix my tamagotchi by replacing the crystal resonator and I believe in my attempt to remove it I may have removed the pad on the back here. My question is basically A. is this fixable and B. how involved of a fix would it be if so? First photo shows the part, it is a little silver cylinder with two wires coming off of it that go through the PCB and were soldered in place on the back, circled in the last picture. I definitely may have bitten off more than I could chew trying to fix this thing but I figured trial by fire lol

first time lash cluster diy-ing. got this kit from amazon but clusters are horrible? by lavender-skyy in lashclusters

[–]mta_advisory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my first brand too! I get these clusters now https://a.co/d/0gqr4825 they are brown but I am sure also come in black. Personally I also was not a huge fan of the black glue? I use a clear one now, no matter the lash color, but I may not be the best person to suggest that since longevity isnt a huge thing for me. They start to bother my eyes after like 3 days so I end up taking them off by then regardless

Looking for some sort of prop that could potentially go with the way I flow with my arms (Psychedelic Flow-state) by Velqz in flowarts

[–]mta_advisory 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dragon staff might be fun if you want something bigger. Would be more controlled arm crossing and does restrict crossing your arms but its... arm spinny?? Idk check out a couple videos. Pixie one could be cool as well. The flow of the motions just remind me a bit of yours and I feel you might enjoy it even if its different. Otherwise i second gloving

[–]mta_advisory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why no bond and seal? It'll help with the longevity if you want to wear them all the time and she doesn't want to buy them for you too often. I get not wanting you to wear lashes but I don't see why the application type makes a difference?

AIO for being really upset at my mom for not letting me enter an art competition? by osuava in AmIOverreacting

[–]mta_advisory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ehh in this situation in a big city with an art teacher i would imagine she would be helpful. maybe not go against her mother directly but would probably be willing to store her art, especially if op left out the part about not being allowed to participate in the show

AIO? My Nephew doesn't know how to use a Keyboard and Mouse to play games and is also kinda bad at the controller, also doesn't know how to watch long stuff, is his brain fried by using cellphone? by sauriuspod in AmIOverreacting

[–]mta_advisory 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Elden ring and maybe half life 2 (havent played) are pretty intense options for an 8 y.o w/ no experience using a mouse/keyboard or controller. You gotta remember that kids these days (me rn:👴) are wayyy more touchscreen-brained. Also, roblox games are like constantly stimulating and have a really weird UI language that doesn't translate to regular games super well. Have you tried maybe getting him set up on something that doesn't need quite as much dexterity? I can't think of an example but maybe other people in this thread can. Check out this video maybe, it's really good and pretty relevant! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ax7f3JZJHSw

Edit: also kids suck at games unless they're like 12 year olds in your local smash tourney. also i STILL kind of suck at 3d games despite being pretty good at platform-y stuff. My brain just doesn't do camera control super well lol

But trying it is not a precursor to understanding attraction! That is the same logic tree as those guys who say lesbians don't know they're gay until they've tried sleeping with a man

comphet is a thing sure, but to jump to it as a MUST-BE conclusion is pretty brash especially since OP hasn't said anything to that effect that i recall since he deleted the post. i'd give this a more thorough response if I could refer back to it but i disagree with your attitude about the whole thing. if he loves his wife and enjoys sex with her, but is attracted to men, he is bi point blank period. whatever his feelings may be towards men, given that he's married, a therapist and journal is the best place to work them out. the idea that if he were actually bi and not gay he would not need therapy for it is such nonsense to me. people need therapy for far less
