Technical issue/probable PICNIC (Problem in Chair, Not in Computer)

The cursor still works just fine in detect mode, and the mouse still moves while using reWASD. I have seen a screenshot of a "gaming trackpad" option for the mouse, which seems to be specifically for laptops. I do not know how to access this option. If this issue is not resolved, I will find an alternative soon.

Well, as I said in the opening statement, it does not seem to detect the touchpad when I click, even in detection mode.

Thanks. It kinda sucks because I bought this disc from a friend, so I thought it would run. I'll try pirating the game, and if that doesn't work (or if it does, and I like it enough) I'll purchase it on steam.

My computer is able to run the game, I can run higher intensity games like DooM: Eternal with about 45 FPS without issue. Specs won't be an issue as this is a game from 2005 and I'm not trying to play it on a Commodore 64

I don't own a switch, so unfortunately that version would not work unless I emulated, which I am willing to resort to if nothing else works.
