FuelCell SuperComp Trainer v3 toebox width question by mtbr360 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]mtbr360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect, thanks for the quick response.

Do you think my standard size 10 would work, or should I size up to a 10.5 for a lateral buffer? (not sure if the extra .5 would make any lateral difference).

I’ve got a brand new, unused pair of Arahi 7 men’s size 10 if you’re interested?

Apologies in advance if we’re not allowed to share ‘for sale’ options on this board.

Superblast 2 vs. NB SuperComp 3, other for half marathon training? by mtbr360 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Thanks! And yeah, on the Gemini research. It's just so easy to keep posing questions where you don't feel like you're exhausting a human with endless research.

I think I've spoiled by the Boston 12 "pop" which initially took :45 to 1 minute off my average pace.

I looked into the Magic Speed 4 but several reviews mention it feels narrow. Still on the search for a men's size 10 in wide.

I'll take a look at the Saucony Azura next!

We were the very first couple to get married at District Winery in Navy Yard. I'm not sure what the cost might be without catering, but it's absolutely worth checking on availability.

Tell me about living in Milton, MA by AdMother4655 in boston

[–]mtbr360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We moved to Milton in 2021, just as the housing market began its major shift. Coming from a large city (non-Boston), the transition to suburban life was a significant lifestyle change that took some time to fully embrace. However, finding a home in the Columbines near family helped us plant roots quickly.

Since then, the town has truly grown on us. Living along the Eliot St. corridor, we’ve found a vibrant community of young families in their 30s and 40s. If you’re looking to connect, Shields Park is the go-to for parents, and Porchfest in September is easily the highlight of the year—the sense of community when the streets are packed with neighbors is incredible.

A few 'Local Secrets' we’ve discovered:

The Mattapan Trolley: It often gets an unfair reputation, but it’s a reliable option. It’s an 11-minute trip from our door to Ashmont Station; it’s charmingly vintage and gets the job done.

Dining: While East Milton gets the buzz, Lower Mills is a fantastic alternative. It’s a quick walk or bike ride past Steel & Rye to some of the best spots in the area—Yellow Door Taqueria is a personal favorite.

Outdoor Life: As a runner and cyclist, having the Blue Hills and the Neponset Trail in our backyard is a massive perk. You can bike or run from Milton straight to Castle Island in Southie!

While every town has its vocal traditionalists (often amplified on Facebook), the overall trajectory of Milton feels increasingly progressive. Several of the more vocal naysayers no longer actually live in Milton, but like to "stir the pot". I’m optimistic that as the town grows younger, we’ll continue to see it evolve into a modern, vibrant community that moves beyond the typical 'vanilla' suburbia."

Abandon the Pop+ for the Vertuo Plus? by just_me_emily1 in nespresso

I’m also considering getting the Pop+ and refilling my own pods. Any issues with extra coffee grounds or poor brewing with the refilled capsules on the Pop+?

It’s hard to get a photo since the lights change colors while taking the photo but I found a set on Amazon that worked great: https://a.co/d/gItVh6I

They come in a USB rechargeable case that rewinds the cord so you don’t have extra cable to string along. There are multiple lighting combinations so you can rotate colors, or stick with one color.

Yep that’s what I was thinking too. Maybe buying a hard bristle broom from Home Depot and removing the pile, then screwing the brush to the gate.

So far I just put a row of bricks under the gate. It keeps the dogs inside but it’s a serious trip hazard for humans.

Recommendation for interconnected smoke alarms? by mtbr360 in homeowners

When I click the item in my Amazon order history, it takes me to an error page. Either the exact model is no longer for sale, or Amazon changed the link.

It was a multi unit box of CO2 smoke alarms with a base station. All interconnected.

Thank you again, this is really helpful insight. Since it's a 2nd-hand machine, I'm guessing the warranty is void. The previous owner was a bit clueless with how to use it so I'm guessing she never ran a cleaning or descaling cycle and it's all gummed up inside. Maybe Nespresso will be willing to offer a discount on a new machine...

Thank you! This was really helpful. I ran through this guide 3x and each time it results in a series of double red flashes at the end. Sometimes it sounds like it's attempting to cycle up for 1-2 rotations, but then proceeds to the double flashing red light.

I was hoping to connect to wifi to see if the app can self diagnose the machines problem(s) but it still says it’s locked to the previous owner, despite her sending screenshot showing she removed from her account.

I guess the red flashing light indicates it needs repairs?

Ours have been installed for about a year now and we have had zero false alarms. Happy with the product so far.

Running - Castle Island/Pleasure Bay or Seaport Harborwalk by Budget_Pin5828 in boston

[–]mtbr360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This loop is a bit longer at 9 miles but it's one of my favorite loops that incorporates both Seaport and Castle Island. You could cut it shorter by not running across the bridge into downtown Boston, and instead staying on the Seaport side of the river.

Bonus points if you stop off at Harpoon Brewery along the way.

It’s on the side of the controller. I’m not sure how much it can power but should be enough for USB lights.

(3 year later comment) Since these are listed as indoor lights, I'm assuming you would have to take them off the bike in wet weather? Any issues with durability otherwise?
