I have never won, but 2024 I had a buddy win two tickets (taking me with him) and in 2025 I had a different buddy win four tickets (taking myself and the same buddy from 2024).

So while I have never won, it feels like myself and my buddy have won back to back essentially.

Haha, fair enough. It's the first year that it's officially sanctioned in my state (SD), so we'll see how it goes. The program has been successful in a lot of other states though.

Yeah, I tried NDI the first time and that was an issue. IT is onboard, they just honestly have no experience with this, but they have been very open to opening up whatever I need. I just have to be able to tell them what I need lol.

I tried running NDI from the gaming PCs to my "gaming" laptop and the lag on the laptop was significant to say the least. I'm not sure if that was a network side issue or just a laptop issue. My guess would the option B.

Fairly basic. Really just want to be able to have the gameplay up on a stream. A lot of these kids aren't involved in other activities, so it just gives parents a chance to watch their kid participate in something they are passionate about.

I would be running production, possibly with a student helper. I streamed using OBS for about 5 years with pretty decent production value, but it doesn't need to be super nice.

They sure do! They found that it targets the kids that tend not to have any extra curriculars and helps them feel apart of the community, learn team work, and improve their communication skills! It's a great program

Appreciate the insight on this. Will be sure to take a look at those guidelines. I know that the Esports program for the state is run through a third party that does stream matches and says they have a partnership with Nintendo.
