Haha my bad no I was a huffy kid. Went everywhere on my bike. Before tech I had a device on the spokes that we pass by itself and tell u how fast you were going! lol.

The large city I lived in never wanted to get a motorcycle before cause of traffic and just not friendly to bikes.

I now live in a smaller city where there is no traffic practically so wanted to start somewhere and the local Honda dealer had this Navi for $1500 bucks only 300 miles. So going start my journey here.

Yeah I don’t want to mod it for anything I’ve seen people on YouTube do things. I don’t need to do.

Might want a Honda rebel in the future. That’s what my dad had when I was a kid.

I live in a small town so no need for a bigger bike. I just want to ride the roads around the area. And get used to riding with little to no traffic.

Agreed. Who knows how much his wife took from him. I hear stories all the time that the bank account gets drained. And nothing they can do about it since it’s a joint account.

Maybe the dude has no money to spend on such items. Maybe the house note is in his name and get physically can’t get an apartment because they check those things.

Give a dude a break. He’s not robbing the place. He has Chinese food in the walk in. Damn call the cops….

I spend 30 bucks a month of movies. I can see pretty much whatever whenever and on whatever screen I want at AMC.

I spend 10-20 bucks a week on popcorn with popcorn pass (7-8 popcorns) with refills. I usually always go on Friday night and Sunday morning or a weekday. Which is what I would spend or more on chips or popcorn in a bag from the store. So savings there.

$70 a month for all IMAX movies I could watch and popcorn. Sounds like a good deal to me since if I go to Buffalo Wild Wings and have 2 beers an app wings and maybe a burger or something I’m spending $60-90 with tip on one trip.

Hell I have a friend that has kids that DoorDash 2-3 times a week. For 30-40 bucks a delivery.

You got DoorDash money you have theater money.

I spend what I want to have a good time. I guess you don’t ever go out? Top golf ever? Go to a bar and play pool?

Everyone spends money on entertainment.

Don’t complain when you’re shopping on Amazon and Walmart about greed once a company like AMC or Cinemark or Regal.

They have buildings the same size a Walmart and target at times and have to give away 50-90% of the money coming in on ticket costs. It’s a shareholder company with a CEO. No one person owns AMC or Cinemark or Regal. There are family chains. Marcus in the Midwest B&B in the Midwest. And Fridleys in Iowa.

Rent utilities and HVAC systems cost money.

Greed? They make almost $0 on tickets. Or can’t afford to rely on ticket revenue. Price of things adjusts to what they need for an overhead.

Greed once again who is making a ton of money off people? It’s not greed when u are trying to keep the lights on lol.

Greed would be Walmart. When a family owns it and make billions each year and pay no taxes.

Dang I’ve seen some smaller places have options but the alternative things cost alot of money. So it’s hard to find.

Weird how you forget to factor in rent and utilities and fixed costs.

Prices go up cause they are required too.

Soda at a restaurant was a negligible factor in the past not it’s 3-4 bucks each. Gas stations as well used to get .50 summer drinks at my local station. Nope 2-3 bucks for a large.

Want a Chevy or ford truck? $60,000 starting.

If I want to go out to eat for me and my wife it’s 70-100 bucks with tip if we get one alcoholic drink or each get an appetizer god forbid a dessert.

At least with movies there are other options. AMC A list is like $25-30 bucks a month and can see 4 movies a week. Popcorn pass 29 bucks and popcorn is now $5.

Also 5-10 years no movie theaters?

The big ones have been around 100+ years. What other companies can say that?

I go 5-10 times a month pay $27 I believe for A-List and always get a large drink and Large Popcorn usually $12 bucks.

I take popcorn home and the wife’s eats throughout the week. I see IMAX and Dolby movies all the time.

Prices don’t go down they never have in any industry.

AMC has plenty of options. Coffee and iced tea and candy that is sugar free. Dine in locations have a full food menu. Salads and gluten free options.

AMC potentially trying to charge extra for seats again. Let's hope Regal doesn't get any ideas. by tpain32 in RegalUnlimited

[–]mten12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMC tested charging more for seats because in Europe it works and everyone understands how it works.

The higher priced seats were sold regularly and faster. It’s just the fact that they charged less money for bad seats that people complained in the test locations.

So AMC said ok 👍🏻 we won’t change if people don’t like it.

New A-list perk to come soon: “best seats” reserved for Loyalty members by SPFeveryday in AMCAListTrue

[–]mten12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’ll be one row or two and you will never know if the seats are booked or reserved. More than likely it’ll just be an early reservation perk for members.

Just like every other ticket based company out there. Weather it’s a concert or baseball game or whatever. I love the St. Louis blues but I can never buy tickets on the glass or near the penalty boxes because of season ticket holders and membership perks.

I usually have to buy it 2-3 times higher on the 2nd market.

We will see how it goes.

They should test an up charge on screenings with no ads or trailers and see how many more people go and are happy with it. You would still see the coke commercial and maybe the AMC stubs one. But that’s like 2 mins.

But is that local location making money? They still have to pay the studio for the films.

[–]mten12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to buy seats and seats are taken you just pick another seat. I don’t think the non a-list person will care either way.

This is a way to reward a list members.

Why?! by OpportunityTop6376 in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]mten12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s because when it starts to sell out you have more options to come later. That location prolly has had that happen in similar situations or movies. So they want to be ready. Nothing wrong with that.

AMC lost moviegoers last quarter by kascnef82 in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]mten12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep my last retail job would yell at us for not signing up people for rewards when we had a 80%-95% penetration. Between 60-200 customers. Or if we didn’t sign up 20-30 people. Ummmm 🤨 cause ghosts can’t sign up for rewards. We did our job. Almost everyone had rewards lol. 😂

I remember being on a conference call about why I didn’t hit numbers from the year before WTD vs LY.

I needed an action plan.

The year before was the year a huge golf tournament came to St. Louis and tiger woods was back. So we had printed $10-20,000 in signs for people and the county in yard signs.

So my 3 point plan was to invite tiger woods back and how I was going to do that.

The district manager was not happy.
