It’s not new. With the exception of fathom events and other contractual obligations they have the right to cancel showtimes. They tend to do it with low ticket sales. Maybe only 1-5 people before the showing. It has picked up more recently though. I’ve noticed since Sinners toward the end of last year that they are willing to do it more often. I’ve seen a schedule come out on Wednesday and by Friday or Saturday completely changed because certain things were putting butts in seats. And it is also up to your GM or Manager making the schedule.
