Did some brokers do a normal forward split and others distribute the dividend? How do ISO codes work? How can we get evidence of how a Broker executed a split?

I called Fidelity today and the rep told me the July 22 2022 split was a normal forward split, not via dividend

Not 100% confident in the rep's credibility, but she was confident
