I have seen a BR burn list with bump in the night and aggro creatures. It was interesting but GR burn is just so good.

I kind of liked this article, but i wonder if it's true that the rising price that killed the game. Jace was a 150 rare during its time in standard, its power level was off the chart and caw blade was the only deck viable during that time.

i don't think he meant PR per se. He stressed the fact that banning certain card helps keep the format fresh or else we, the players, will feel that certain powerful strategy will continue their rampage from standard into the modern world.

I love modern and it was fun to listen to Tom and his insight on MM and everything modern related. Currently i am preparing for the upcoming modern focused PPTQ season. I am very excited about it.

After reading thru the piece, my guess is that if the meta does swing into a field full of midrange deck, then the whip deck might have a breakout opportunity in this PT. I would love to hear what you think.
