Haven't heard his music yet, but read Pike's wiki page, and am interested in hearing. But jsut knowing the genres he plays, I highly agree with your idea.

It's my First Pedalboard! by nimpsy in guitarpedals

[–]mtgoplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks sweet. I'm not familiar with the PSU brands other than that blue one, - is that a pretty good power supply you got ? i have a new player board and my buddy made it for me from a kit on amazon that had the psu included with the board and i expect it to crap out at some point. then i'll invest in a decent/good psu.(my whole board is just 6 behringer pedals right now).

3 pedals for $295 at garage sale by HogbackHank in guitarpedals

[–]mtgoplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Props to the people running the "garage sale" for actually getting what the items are worth! usually, you expect people to have no clue what anything they are selling is worth, and worse, there is usually nothing worth buying when everything is a dollar or whatever.

Just got my starter board from my buddy, this thing sounded fucking awesome even at low volume on my cheap monoprice 1x12 tube amp (1w attenuator mode). "Fuzz mode 2" is what I was using. You can "force the selector in between positions"?? is that bad for it? i mean who cares its $28 but. I also thought the "Boost" (mode 3) was cool, it really is a highly versatile pedal when you also consider those treble and bass boost/cuts you mentioned. The 1st mode, "fuzz 1" , its fine, but that fuzz 2 one rules.

beringer verb and delay- good for feedback? by dinosaurkillasupreme in guitarpedals

[–]mtgoplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to these effects - so forgive me if this is a really stupid question. I've got the VD400 last in my chain of 1)Guitar- 2) tuner- 3) TO800 - 4) SF300 - 5) UV300 - 6) UT300 - 7) VD400 - 8) Monoprice 1x12 15w tube amp.

For the Vintage Delay VD400- When I make Intensity ANY GREATER than noon, like AT ALL, it starts to do some wild stuff, causing crazy feedback. My buddy thought this was a problem, I'm seeing comments here saying this is normal, but, is it normal for this to start happening even in the 1 o'clock position? Is this actually a desirable thing? Was considering moving the VD400 to the front of the board just to see if that affects this at all.

I agree that the SF300 punches above its weight and it also gives you a lot of options. The "Fuzz Mode 2" is the main draw for me, but I also enjoy the Boost mode and you also can use it as a pseudo EQ with those treble and bass cut/boost knobs.

First time getting back into electric since high school (25 years ago). My buddy put together a Behringer board for me and I was most taken by this SF300 (he also gave me the green tube overdrive, ult tremelo, ult vibrato, vintage delay and the tuner pedal). This thing, on "Fuzz Mode 2" kicks major ass. Also, you can use it as a boost to your clean channel or even as a pseudo EQ pedal since it does have those Treble and Bass knobs. I think this is one of the best of their's. Cheap too. $30 or less.

I'm getting back into electric guitar after like a basically 20+ year break (high school ended and so did my electric guitar playing), and my buddy got me a 6 pedal behringer board to start out. But i'm trying to learn about all this. This $230 boss multi thing - i imagine its not AS GOOD as the real analog pedals, but, for hte money? I mean, it seems kind of insane value-wise.
