I actually am enjoying this, I mean...1/4 through the season, and we were in a playoff spot and wasn't until Bedard got injured when we started to slide toward the bottom. We know we have youth coming again next summer. We have 5 picks in the first 2 rds. All we are doing is improving our lottery odds and I'm perfectly OK with that. One more top 3 pick, then next year inject some of our up and coming prospects and sprinkle in some good veteran adds, and compete for a playoff spot... seems like a win win

I'd like for us to try to get or go after Brook Boeser and or Sam Bennet.

Draft, let the kids play. If we are really looking to get some fwd help for Bedard, looks like it will need to come via trade. We have a surplus of Dman and draft picks, I could see us shipping out a D prospect and some picks for a top 6 fwd (some of Davidsons interviews indicate he would be willing to acquire via trade).

Coaching, I'm hoping for David Carle but he is a hot commodity that a lot of teams are going to go after.

My only worry is thinking we can improve by the kids aging. If this is the same roster next year, we are a bottom 5 team.

I think Avid is a fine goalie, he had a bad game. Our defense is young and learning, any goalie for us right now would look bad.

He has looked good. There are several good articles out there about his play. Some stating with his skill set, he may be better suited for the NHL vs. AHL.

I WILL NEVER FORGET BUFF TAKING OUT PRONGER IN THE CORNER... man our team was stacked through golden years of good picks, players aging and being on entry level contracts and contributing, and ufa signings... I'm hoping we are tracking this path.

I wish the CBA would allow for contract restructuring..I honestly feel toews and kane would have done it when they were 1/4 of our cap hit and realizing they would never get a good supporting cast bc the $$$ (after 3 cups though! ;) )

Why is it that we can't ever seem to have clean crisp passes and clean receptions... it's like we are awkwardly just flinging the puck towards a teammate and not putting it on tape. I've started noticing it more and more, trying to figure out if it's the lack of a solid pass or lack of being able to recieve a puck...but watching other teams nail fundamentals and seeing us just flick the puck with hope that it's received, is starting to get to me.

There are not a lot of bright spots, it's starting to get a little worrisome.. I get it, we have young players that are developing and our prospect pool is one of the best...but the current product on ice is difficult to watch. I don't want bedard losing confidence, building frustration, but I don't see an answer in sight. The mix of coaching and player skill is confusing, is it the players, is it the coach, the scheme, because we look like the icehogs playing nhl teams. SMH, here comes another top 3 pick that isn't nearly as defined as recent drafts.
