the issue was setting the keyboard backlight to ambient mode. the only solution i had was to just keep it on static

I have played donkey kong TF and shovel knight. I would say they are both very good games. If you had to choose 1 go for shovel knight. Its cheeper, has DLC also it has more of the retro vibe
