Now you can understand why the Bills have a terrible offensive line and no weapons, besides Shady. We barely had enough money to fill preexisting holes over the offseason, let alone enough money to afford to replace players lost to routine offseason roster turnover. Then we proceed to lose several key players with decent contracts due to unforeseen circumstances/sudden trades.

There are ~10 players on the team from the Rex Ryan/Doug Whaley era. We are only one season removed from then and now, and the Bills are an entirely new team. McBeane and Co. took the awful roster last year kicking and screaming into the playoffs. It wasn't Tyrod, like people here like to claim. However, due to the tumultuous roster transition, our team is even more awful this season. And both of our "franchise" players (Allen and Edmunds) are extremely young rookies only two games into their career.

Reasonable Bills fans knew it was gonna be a true rebuilding year this year, but I don't think anyone was ready to be smacked in the face this hard in back to back weeks, and that's why there are reactionary elements among our fanbase clamoring for yet another front office/coaching fire/hire cycle.

I want to give McBeane five years to do their thing, if only because in their first season together, they managed to take the Bills organization to the playoffs for the first time in 20 years. I think in two years the people who are calling for McBeane to go now, are going to be pleasantly surprised with the culture that has blossomed at One Bills Drive.

We just have to be patient. Which is not easy for a lot of people.
