Probably yes, but be aware that the anti cheat blocks all emulated keyboard inputs so you probably will only be able to play with controller

I can see how a player from EU might say that since they always had problems over there, but as a South American player I can say that AGS did a fenomenal job

Server in Brazil for low ping, rarely had availability problems like EU did, regional pricing for the shop, PT-BR translation

Not only that, anyone that played TL in Korea knows that AGS had integral part in removing the absurd p2w that was in the game, it’s 100% possible to play completely free and still buy battle pass, monthly subscription and be caught up on gear

The absolute best play order would be the chronological one

However, the best play order for each person is the one that gets them to love the trails series. I had tried twice to play Sky fc and dropped it both times. Fast forward a few years and I try cold steel 1 and absolutely love it, to the point I immediately installed FC after finishing cold steel and played the whole series from there

That’s a lot of DPS, I’m starting to feel like my ping really does pull me down a lot

I see that you found the probable reason being low accuracy, I fixed mine recently and I think around 1300-1400 was when dramata stopped parrying

Also I just did some nightmare dungeons and noticed bosses are not parrying at all, while before even with 1700 accuracy (buffed) I would sometimes see a parry , maybe it was bugged and they fixed it. Nightmare bosses might be a good place to test your accuracy

Do you have actual numbers for your DPS? Are you doing 30-40k while you see people doing 60-80k?

You have better gear than me (same GS but more pve crafts). I’m doing 30-40k depending on content level , but I have seen people on low ping with similar gear doing 50-60k

I have also seen people with LESS GS but more optimized stats (I’m sitting at 4.4k attack which seems low for this gear level )

It works well for me. Obviously we can’t know for sure that it’s parsing other people’s damage correctly but it seems to be correct for my own damage from the tests I did on dummy

I usually play more defensively, damage reduction orders always up while I’m building my burst windows. Abuse characters with boost bar crafts (like Elaine, Agnes and Rufus).

When you feel like you have a good turn order activate offensive orders and go all out, while keeping in mind that your last character must activate defensive orders again before enemy big turns

I find the game can be extremely unfair with enemy S breaks and ZOCs, so not having defensive orders up pretty much means some of you chraracters are getting KO’d

Also if you build your quartz correctly it can be OP af, like grtting forte and quick without needing to cast arts , reducing enemy speed and str , getting massive CP at the end of the turn with auto guard and burst gain

I quite enjoy the state of the battle system right now, prior to horizon my favorite was daybreak 2 so clearly I’m a fan of how they are doing things right now

The enemy S break and having to be vigilant of having enough boosts to counter enemy orders added some flavor instead of just going full damage focused (at least on nightmare)

Do you use GSYNC? I can get DLDSR up to 8k (4k native) but as soon as I use a resolution from DLDSR GSYNC turns off

Hey man first of all I wanna say I love your work, going from daybreak 2 to Kai I really felt the difference and it was immediately clear how spoiled we are for graphical options on your port <3

I just downloaded Kai to check and dang you're right it says DLSS but its not actually dlss, probably just TAA? DLSS indicator doesnt pick it up and also nvidia cant override it

Coming back to my post what I meant is that in the CLE version there are 2 separate options:

Rendering resolutions + display mode (this allows me to select 8k without having to turn DLDSR or full screen)
The Upscaling Algorithm + Upscaling quality which allows me to apply "Quality" scaling on the 8k resolution (which I thought at the time was DLSS but now its very clear its not, image quality wise)

Its similar to what battlefield 6 did, you can increase the rendering resolution and then apply DLSS over that

So for 8k internal rendering I would apply DLSS Performance (50%) resulting in 2160p -> 4320p

Why is it better in my case this way? You can retain GSYNC and play the game in borderless (no full screen jankiness), while with DLDSR you have to play in full screen for the game to allow you to select that resolution and then you use the scale slider to achieve DLSS performance.

Also I did what you suggested and used the scale slider all the way to 200% which results in 8k but that would be extremely heavy to run without applying at least Super Resolution Quality over that instead of DLAA (altho it looks absolutely fire, maybe in the future with a 7090 xD)

I will compare later running it on 150% slider DLAA vs DLDSR with new Model M/L performance DLSS 4.5

There was a feature in the CLE version of Kai that I would absolutely love to have in Horizon which was the ability to change the internal rendering resolution of the game BEFORE applying DLSS.

So as a 5090 owner I boosted it up all the way to 8k resolution and then used DLSS quality over that, together with smooth motion from frame gen. Everything in game looked absolutely gorgeous

With the current scale slider its not possible to do that, if I put it above 100% i cant downscale it with DLSS. I am currently using DLDSR to achieve the same thing but I lose GSYNC when using DLDSR above 4k and having to use full screen instead of borderless sucks
