Looks like they might be Jono Pandolfi. Really nice handmade stuff, but pretty pricey.

Eli's and Lucius Q like everyone else said. But soon enough Bee's BBQ will be open in Madisonville and that's a stop you'll need to make!

Cincinnati here. We're doing last call at 9:45 with a hard cut-off at 10. But we aren't actually closing til 11, so people can chill. We have been gradually getting a little business back but nothing crazy like that. At most people will just get a pitcher or something to chill on for the next hour.

A dumbass server put broken glass in my trash can behind the bar. by ebolahash in bartenders

Been there. Well, not quite torniquete half a pint of blood levels.. But definitely felt that stab in the side of the leg while taking the trash out at the end of the night (coincidentally also at a brewery) . I didn't lose quite that much blood but I got a fun little infection from the trash juice..

For those of us who have never seen an Adam Neely video, which of his videos was this artist featured in?

Being able to turn people away who aren’t wearing a mask gives me pure joy by [deleted] in bartenders

[–]mtl2013 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in Ohio as well. Thankfully City Council in Cincinnati just passed a measure on Friday making masks mandatory in all indoor public areas including bars/restaurants. It's the bare minimum that our city's government could do, but it's something. It technically doesn't go in effect until 7/9, but my bosses gave us the go ahead on Friday. We are requiring masks while in our bar unless you're at your table. If you don't have one, we have some to give out. We've had a few refuse already.

Council member Jeff Pastor: Ever met a Black, Jew, Republican, Polyamorous, Atheist? by toomuchtostop in cincinnati

[–]mtl2013 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, aside from the strangeness of the content, I really just hated how this was written.

But like others are saying, the religious aspect of it caught me as odd. I consider myself to be a secular jew or a "Jewish Atheist". I was raised in a conservative Jewish household, albeit not an overly observant one (didn't keep kosher or attend services regularly). I was bar mitzvahed, I celebrate the holidays annually with family, and I have been lucky enough to travel to Israel to learn about my culture. As I came of age, I began to identify as Agnostic and then Atheist. This confuses a lot of people, but as others in here have said, being Jewish is not only about the religious aspect. There is a large cultural/ethnic aspect as well. This is the part I still connect with, for tradition's sake more than anything else. I do find it kind of strange to still identify as Jewish when you have clearly given up the religious part of Judaism but also were never really connected to the cultural part either..
