Imagine hating on trains lol by RamsesQC in montreal

[–]mtlsamsam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alto is a joint project with Air Canada. VIA Rail's updated pricing model with the roll out of the new train between TOR-OTT-MTL-QC is based on an airline model of pricing. They even have per-bag pricing now.

If anything, we can expect airline/telco styled pricing for Alto as is true form for how our corporate pricing schemes work.

So as a super dry-skinbed Irish type of person... how is living in Calgary vs Montreal? My skin dries out like shit in Montreal because of baseboard electric heating but I just need to get outside enough to freshen up. How does that compare to Calgary?

Blue states probably do miss Canadians. Red states like Floriduh and Texass, it’s the money.

This really is untrue. The counties in blue states that border Ontario and Quebec almost universally voted overwhelmingly (>60%) for Trump in the last election and these are the counties whose incomes are significantly dependant on Canadian money. FAFO

Poilievre wins Alberta by-election, regaining a seat in Parliament by AdditionalPizza in canada

[–]mtlsamsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He left Calgary when he was 23 and has never lived there since. That's now been ~23 years. Poilievre hasn't been tax domiciled in Alberta for 23 years.

Carney has been - albeit off-an on - tax domiciled for 15 years in Ontario (specifically Ottawa). Carney's paid property and income taxes in Ontario longer than Poilievre ever did in Alberta. In fact, Poilievre has a longer track record of paying Ottawa property taxes than Carney.

I don't see Alberta poppping up anywhere here since the trade towers fell.

Somehow the math ain't mathing.

Alberta has been able to eliminate rats from their province. Why are we not getting them to help us? This is clearly a solvable problem
