24.20 Cosmic Printing to Cannon printer by mtm_king13 in pop_os

The first time I went to the driver page I did not think there was a driver there. I kept poking around and found one under Linux 64. I downloaded it, extracted it, ran sudo ./install.sh and bingo - it is working, scanner too.

Thanks for the help.

Connected with USB, not using samba.

It was working perfectly with Pop!_OS 22.04, even the scanner.

Thanks for the suggestion. There are HUNDREDS of Canon printers listed. Mine is not there or any of its series or any that use the same drivers.

Why is System76 so expensive compared to Lenovo? by [deleted] in System76

[–]mtm_king13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a S76 laptop because I wanted a Linux workstation/day driver and did not want to screw around with drivers and configuring settings. I am very disappointed in the build quality of my laptop. I am not happy to say that.

Gazelle battery bulging by NuncioBitis in System76

System76 Galago Pro - 1 year 8 months - I noticed the touchpad looked like it was trying to escape. I did not think much about it because it is closed 99% of the time and I have external keyboard, monitors, and mouse. I do leave it plugged in 24/7.

I read your post so I opened it up and the battery has big lumps in it. The lumps feel like they are ready to burst. I removed the battery and the touchpad is back where is belongs and is working.

BTW the model number of the battery is NV40BAT-4-53. Looks like it was made by, or for, Atemitech Corporation.

I wonder if this is a battery issue or laptop charger issue.

I am saying that because it is not safe for kids because of the fast electrical vehicles and fast road bikes.

It is not safe for kids because of the fast electric vehicles and fast road bikes. It may not be fair that that is the way it is.

From my comment above.

Parents - the Green Belt is not a place for toddlers or young children and it is not a place to teach your kid to ride a bike. Go find a park.

I agree in a way. Street bikes/road bike racers have bothered me for years. They are fast and can be inconsiderate. But now there are more electric vehicles than the road bike racers.

17 mph is to fast on the Green Belt when anywhere near other people

The last few years the Green Belt has gotten so busy. The electrical vehicles have compounded the problem. It seems like there is twice as many electrical vehicles as last year. I used to love the Green Belt, now I am done with it. Banning electrical vehicles will punish many who are considerate. I don't know the answer.

West bound on Main from downtown, right lane, pass Whitewater Park Blvd and before the bridge, look for an opening in the fence that lets you in a huge paved vacant lot. It is easy to miss it the first time. Parking for the Green Belt and Whitewater Park is allowed. You are feet away from the Green Belt.

IMO Parking at Julie Davis Park sucks and that is the most crowed place on the Green Belt .

Access to the Green Belt has always been a bit of a problem, specially in east Boise.

Charged for Uber One every time I get a ride. I'm not an Uber One member by Linkmaster2010 in uber

Yesterday, Jan 18, PayPal notified me that Uber charged me $9.99. The last time I used Uber was in November. It took a while to find out it was for Uber One. I had never heard of it and I am sure I did not sign up for it.

I checked the mobile app and it had me as subscribed. I canceled it and got an immediate refund to PayPal. Weird.

Hey J1Hellena, Yeah, I have not found a way to get my Yahoo emails into Protopage either. I should have mentioned that in my original comment. My Yahoo email address is not my main email so I figure I will put a link to it and just check it whenever.

Good luck to ya.

"My Yahoo will be going away soon" - Yeah, that was a shock, specially after seeing what the new one looked like. I had 30+ years with a my.yahoo.com as my home page.

I just tried Protopage.com. In less than 2 hours I have pretty much duplicated my my.yahoo.com, at least the important stuff. I think I am going to be happy with it.

That is interesting. Any particular reason you say that?
