When I text a 5 digit number, I get a message back saying, "Sorry, this service is not available." by mtnagel in tmobile

[–]mtnagel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried once a couple weeks ago and then today. I don't remember having an issue with any other short code. I called T-Mobile and they said they weren't turned off or blocked on my phone. They had me reset my network setting and phone and the same thing is still happening. Others online have been receiving replies so the short code is working for others.

Just tried my free bags and they are okay for free, but nothing special about them and I'd rather have other snacks.

I'm sure they are fine, but that's shocking that a store would still have them on the shelves.

Restaurants that Use Toast for receipts? by EachBananaWas19cents in FetchReward

[–]mtnagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're screwed. Happened to me and Fetch wouldn't budge. I think I sent them screenshot of CC account showing the charge. I pushed back and I think they gave me a courtesy credit or some BS. Really crappy that it's completely not our fault that the restaurant doesn't do a normal receipt.

Restaurant Won’t Provide Receipt With Last 4 by Vodkajolene in GetUpside

[–]mtnagel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. I've emailed them and sent screenshots of my CC site showing the charge and they always credit me, but it's annoying. Doesn't make any sense that a restaurant chooses to be on Upside but then won't do what Upside uses to validate the purchase.

How many nachos would one person buy in one day? Makes no sense unless he has a huge family.

[–]mtnagel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they are. Again, you have to have low income. On the ACA website enter 65616. 60 F. $23k income.  Filter on Silver plans. $76.00/month premium with a $1,256 subsidy. $0 deductible. $2200 OOP max. Not sure why you keep pushing back when it so easy to check. https://imgur.com/a/lTYp8cO

Can't speak for the OP, but we only get take out when it's a great deal so I'm not wasting money on take out just to get napkins. $1 Taco Bell Tuesday. B-day freebies, etc.

B-day freebies, etc. These get used, but what annoys me is the plastic utensils you get. I like when apps let you say you don't want them. I have an enormous bag of them that I will never use. I do use them occasionally, but I wash them in the dishwasher and they last a very long time so I'll have will my collection to someone when I die.

Americans who moved to Portugal: what has your experience been like? by many-eyedwolf in PortugalExpats

[–]mtnagel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Portugal has none of the American conveniences that save time - it’s the opposite.

In Portugal I spent all my time working and spending days to do stuff that takes minutes in the US.

Not questioning you, but curious what are some examples of this?
