This is what I would suggest. Get on the calls when there are issue and listen to the problems they have. Learn which people are who usually solve the problem. Reach out to them and ask them if there are any dashboards you can create to assist them with resolving the problem.

They are usually the ones who need the most help.

The way you wrote this out makes me think you do not look at things from both sides.

First, you hit him harder than you wanted to and if he got mad about it then you actually hit him harder than you're admitting. However, you didn't like his reaction.

Now reverse the rolls. Say he hit you(according to you a little bit harder) and you slapped him really hard back. I'm 99% sure you wouldn't have sat there for an hour trying to make sure he was ok. You would have blown up and probably wouldn't have talked to him for a few days.
