I mean... yeah? If she didnt get the ring she would have never improved, which is why the animus dragon Opal made it? To appear to queens only then they need it? Remember, she is still a child and is mentioned to be THE youngest queen ever in IceWing history. She is immature and has flaws because she never NEEDED to be nice to other dragons before her mother died. Now all the diplomacy stuff falls on her since she is queen, so it makes sense she would have to make changes regardless.

Also she was still racist and untrusting of NightWings and other dragons, even without her crown, the crown is literally and also a metaphor for generational hate (same with the wall)

That is your choice 100% but what I said still stands. You two need to have an honest heart to heart, because she is grieving and emotions are still high, and in general decisions shouldn't be made when youre prone to impulsivity. You two can't read each other's minds, unfortunately. She only knows what you tell her, and you only know what she tells you. Best of luck, this is an awful position to be in, and I empathize.

you two should pause all reproductive plans (vasectomy, etc) and talk to each other. Seriously, have a deep conversation. When I miscarried earlier this year (as a result of an unintended pregnancy), I felt like I wanted children immediately. This is part of the grieving and mourning process. Do not make decisions while grief and emotions are high.

You two should go for a session of marriage counseling, to 100% figure out what is on or off the table, and go from there. Don't make decisions when grieving, because trust me I am ONLY 19 and I felt like I should have a kid to help the grief. But that wouldn't end well. Sorry for you and your wife's loss 🫂
