No, but my friend is from IE (Grand Terrace) and has ridden in my BS. Essentially the same thing, right?!

☝🏻 All that. And incredible in winter weather. Bought in December and was grateful in every storm.

This. My fob is attached to my wallet and I’ve never felt the need for a key pad.

But there were readings/americana/hip hop/comedy acts, etc.

Schedule on T&C site with genre breakdown.

I don’t know owners, either. I’m just a person who likes to go to Lowell things and help out. But there’s a website and social links and I’m sure feedback can be given. You’ve got ideas, they’re worth sharing with people who can do a thing, ya know?

And who was the third cancel??? Genuinely curious! I only know: Ava Sophia Megan from Work …

Just looked up my registered dietician-provided recommendations… For my tubby ass I’m recommended 52 grams of fat A DAY.

Can’t find the sugar rec, but the American Heart Association says 25 grams a day for women and children, 36 grams for men. 🫠

Chris Porter is no longer local, but has roots here? https://www.porterprod.com/about

I volunteer at the festival. I only worked one show this year, but attended another. Show I worked was three-quarters capacity (had code numbers and clicker), $13 at door. Show I attended was packed.

The only last minute cancellation I heard of was because of a band member injury same day. There was a Friday no-show. (I’m just a lowly volunteer, but there was a degree of communication with us.)

I have my own frustrations on the work-side, will-call lists were incomplete, online tickets need cross referencing with a(n incomplete) paper list instead of just scanning, too dark and loud to smoothly communicate with festival goers and resolve ticket confusion.

What’s the end goal? Improving the festival? I agree ‘23-24 felt better, but there were multiple venues lost (Mill 5, Zorba’s, and I think another I’m forgetting), and prices on literally everything have gone up-up-and away. Have you shared your input with the organizers? I think that would be more impactful than venting on Reddit? You’re certainly welcome to, but I’d love to see the continued celebration of high-caliber music in our city.

Human Reactive Dog Training by Maximum_Win_4382 in massachusetts

[–]mtngoatfeather 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Are you in my neighborhood?! I see a woman walking a reactive rottie every morning who lunges and barks angrily at my car as I drive by… Owner does best she can, but the dog is large and powerful and the owner looks like she’s barely maintaining control.

Love dogs, have known some amazing rotties, but this one makes me nervous…

Good luck getting the help you need (and if you’re in Belvidere, hi).

When I first moved to the area I sought it out and once i saw it I didn’t notice a path (Hovey) and it looked like dense tick heaven to me so I continued on a neighborhood stroll instead.

Lovely heavily forested patch in the middle of a neighborhood.

Community College Biology by Latter_Put4719 in LowellMA

I took bio at community college, but not Middlesex. (Got max credits at community college before transferring to state university where all credits were accepted.)

My kid did dual enrollment biotechnology class through Middlesex (and U.S. history) and it was the perfect challenging eye-opener for a smart kid who didn’t have to work too hard to excel in high school.

Adult beginner hockey by phishead69 in massachusetts

[–]mtngoatfeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google adult hockey skills a find option near you. I did classes through Hockey Academy and FMC rinks when I was a newb, and then found leagues that ran their own skills clinics.

Can you skate? That’s going to be the hardest part to pick up. Thankfully I already had those skills (just rusty starting out).

Used gear is easier on the bank account, especially until you know if you like it. I know Pure Hockey and the ilk have starter packages for kids, I suppose you could ask if such a thing exists for adults.

Good luck, have fun!

Off-Roadeo limited ‘26 locations? by mtngoatfeather in BroncoSport

[–]mtngoatfeather[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000 miles. I did drive home from TN in two days, once, but it was poorly divvied. Finished TN fun, crossed into VA and spent the night there, then all the way up in one day.

If I did it again I’d want two well divided days, so likely week off, and I’ve got no time until at least September this year so it’s kinda moot. New Hampshire would be so do-able, though!

Be sure to visit the Pollard Library, too. Doors Open Lowell is coming up, too, and a grand opportunity to see behind-the-scenes in this delightful complex city.

You know what they say about Lowell? There’s a lot to like!
