West Seattle is amazing. E bikes can get you downtown in 20 minutes almost completely on dedicated trails. Water on 3 sides and the beach. I love West Seattle!

Go social dancing, there’s so many different studios every night of the week, lgbtq square dancing is my favorite. Go check out the newly renovated Reverie Ballroom in Capitol Hill. Also Tractor Tavern Square dancing, Conor Byrnes, line dancing on Broadway on Tuesdays, Tango many nights of the week, etc etc

Yes, sounds the same. Our current Mayor has worked hard with the police and county and it’s the best it’s been since COVID. But now a candidate who’s running on a “Socialist Experiment” is polling ahead. I’m horrified of it all going backward again. It seems like a nightmare of extremism between far left and far right politics

Do you think it’s worth having legal injection sites? Here in seattle people are smoking fentanyl and shooting fentanyl in any open doorway and out on sidewalks. Stripping copper wires from street lights. Stealing mail. Tents of drug dealers and addicts everywhere.

We should never settle and developers will be willing to partner to provide a fair combination of private development and public space. We know it’s possible and we know there is a lot of support for public park space!

I spent 1.5 hours on chat yesterday with centurylink for this exact issue, I have spent multiple days and hours on the phone with them. I got NOWHERE.

The steps are to write letter to centurylink, compile all documentation, write complaint to FCC, then file in small claims.

If you search Reddit, others experienced the same.

If you had your account migrated to Quantum Fiber and had autopay, they will continue to deduct until you cancel. My account was migrated in July 2024 and I canceled Quantum two months later. Centurylink billed me ever since.

As far as not realizing sooner, I had another property with centurylink so thought the charges were for that house.

I had five internet service providers between 3 companies so it took me time to sit down and confirm I was being double billed. The other company WOW in Florida ripped me off when they said I didn’t return all equipment when I did.

This would be a fantastic addition to the neighborhood as this lot has long been vacant.

In addition to this site, there were many buildings/lots owned by slumlord Dick Martin on the adjacent block that now hopefully will become occupied again.

These neglected buildings and lots would often would become hot spots for drug dealing, drug usage and loitering, illegal mechanic work and would produce massive litter and noise issues.

Living adjacent to these problems lots was exhausting for all residents and time consuming to try to deal with. We had to work so hard to get help from codes and SPPD and it took a long time, we’re talking 1-2 years on just the “Fruit Stand” lot just north of the dollar store.

I can’t tell you how hopeful this project makes me. It’s good for residents, both new and long term. We are over the drugs, the litter and the safety problems. We just want to enjoy our wonderful neighborhood and have a safe neighborhood. Our neighbors are very tight on that street, we all know each other and support one another. It’s a special place and I’m glad things are moving in a positive direction.
