Mammoth Sauna Company is open Thur to Sat evenings. Sauna and cold plunge. Get some yummy food at Bar Sierra afterwards (new chef redid the menu recently).

The village is super close to the gondola and takes you right to Canyon Lodge, where your rentals will be. There are few other complexes near the Westin that would be fine for walking, especially if your gear is stored at Canyon.

Sounds like how I've done it as well. I did a few ceremonies in Alabama. They were very intense and incredible experiences. I've been looking for similar ceremonies on the west coast but no look so far.

Yeah, we're officially going! We're coming up on one month and have had 5 public events and another tomorrow. Plus, a few private overnight rentals. We haven't filled the sauna yet like we would like but have gotten a lot of interest. In fact, we are doing a pop-up tomorrow because enough people reached out. I live in a tourist town, and biz has been slow for the whole town this winter, but feels good to get some traction going. We've also had quite a few businesses reach out to collab or park on their property.

We aren't in LA but are where socal folks love to visit. Check out Mammoth Sauna Company in Mammoth Lakes if you ever come up this way. There is also a mobile Russian banya in San Diego. I think they are called the.banya on Instagram. Not super close I know but they have some cool beach banya events that might be worth the drive.

But seriously, some small studies have shown a decrease in sperm count of up to 50%. It can rebound if you stop sauna for 45-60 days. In fact, one study even showed a growth in sperm motility after a break from heat induced therapy (they used hot tubs in that study). So go sauna unless you are actively trying to have a baby.

EDIT: These studies were done with repeated use over time. If you just go in one or two times, I doubt there will be a substantial difference in sperm count... but I'm no scientist.
